Range, bandwidth, and speed

I wanted to make sure I didn’t have dead spots mostly. I do have gig service, so might as well make the network use as much bandwidth as I can.

yea I'm using the firmware version right before they updated it to disable Aimesh on the T-Mobile router. I have no plans on updating the firmware.

Did you convert the TMO router to the Asus or it's still TMO firm?

I already have my own pfsense router and HP 48 port POE switch. I'm not paying for their insanely overpriced switches

I was getting all prepared to buy another ubiquiti access point but did another search for moca, since I have FIOS with a moca connection to my router. I guess this thing is discontinued, but is essentially a moca access point, selling for $10 or less. I bought one and will see if it works as well as I’m hoping.

A lot more power than what I had before and the handoff between them is excellent. I'm very happy with this setup.

Lots of awesome stuff on thingiverse to clean shite up too.

Printed this for two of my pros that are in unfinished areas of the house.

And this to clean things up with my USG.

This keeping the cloud key too.

Out of curiosity, what 3D printer do you have and do you recommend it? I’ve been thinking about getting into the game but was trying to decide between SLA vs extrusion.

Was supposed to get my Pros in today, but the seller needed signature on delivery for them

I have my server running PfSense as my firewall and ubiquiti software. I'm excited to get my 48 port POE switch to actual use too

I went with the Prusa MK3 kit build during the preorder last year because of how well liked the MK2S kit build was for it's quality and price.

MK3 has some bugs that need to be worked out, sometimes I get some really great prints, others are a bit bad. The latest firmware patch really helped a lot and I am waiting on some PETG so I can finish my enclosure build using IKEA tables to help with ABS prints that have been failing. Eventually I hope they get the bugs out, but I don't think I can recommend it yet unless you want a project.

and yes they were hard wired. Google smashes them.

I dont like my LR. I unhooked it. I read the PRO is way better.

I didn't read a lot of good things about the LR as well, people seem to love the pro.

There's no point to getting the LR if you're devices aren't powerful enough to send the signal back

Yeah, plus the LR radios aren't the best AC radio speed wise. Google Wifi is a good bit better than them. So it makes sense the guy likes Google Wifi better, but Pro is better than both.

If you have devices that can take advantage of the LR then it's completely worth it. Most of the time the Lite or Pro are better options

Google Mesh is great. Really gives remote areas great signal.

A device that has a great wifi radio that isn't accessible close to an AP. This is more of a commercial thing than a home thing. If you have a giant warehouse and have an inventory system with devices that have decent wifi over normal home devices, this is where they shine. You don't have to buy as many to cover the warehouse and don't really need speed.

This is commercial gear, it's meant for that, so you have to think about all those options.

Closed on a new home a few weeks ago. I have CAT6 wired to almost every room. Instead of using the Ubiquiti ufo APs, I'm going to use one of their in wall models in several rooms to cover the house. Also, just got AT&T gigabit installed today too. 900Mb+ up and down
