I have not been able to find a stream on there (for old or new movies) the last several times I've looked. Search is awful too, both by person and title. Hoping something new is out there.

eta: using Exodus add-on for streams

Exodus was left to die by its developers a while back. Not sure if its been resurrected or not.I use Covenant to watch stuff every day and Its from the developers of Exodus I believe. I also have a Trakt account that allows me to search shows with my phone or tablet and bookmark them. You have to go into accounts in Covenant settings and enter your trakt info and then the bookmarked shows will show up in the "mytv" or "Mymovies" section of Covenant.

Exodus is all but dead. Covenant or Genesis Reborn are what I use. Also use Trakt to manage what I want to watch. Make sure you are using a VPN.

No you are just using an app that no longer works.

Youtube "Mchanga"

She will have the latest build. Follow her steps on how to install it.

Watch whatever you want.

I really prefer plex and having other servers share with me.

So much faster and reliable. I also recently added some channels like bittorrent (not very stable) and some cloud tv channel (not bad)

You should get a free plex account then have someone like me with thousands of movies share access to a server.. via adding your account as a friend.

Reddit has several threads of people willing to share servers with others.

Sounds extremely illegal, and stupid. You want random people from reddit having access to your server? no telling what some people are capable of doing with that access.

kodi is a collasal time-waster trying to keep it updated and reading the interwebz trying to keep up with the latest plugin as the MPAA plays whack-a-mole with streaming sites.

you will be a happier person by installing plex and deleting kodi from your fireTV.

i'm fairly competent technically and i fricking hated all the bullshite i had to deal with everytime i tried to do something with kodi.

plex is so easy even my 3yo can find and launch a show on it and with comcast's shitty 1TB data cap, i'm not re-streaming the same movie over and over since 3yos tend to watch the same show multiple times.

I love Plex so much, it just keeps getting better and better.

They recently added full live TV and time-shifting support to Roku, so I will probably end up selling my Tablo and getting an HDHomerun to bring my OTA stuff into Plex.

Can someone shed a little light on Plex for me? Do you have to have your own movie library (files locally stored on a computer) or can you stream from other servers?

I have a fairly large movie library, but I haven't updated it in probably 7 years.

Currently a TerrariumTV user, and really haven't had any issues with it.

For the most part yes. Whereas most people use Kodi to access files somewhere else on the Internet, Plex is something where most people access a local home server. If you are looking at Plex as a Kodi alternative you will need to have your own library from rips, torrents, etc.

You also need to a computer running as a server. It doesn't have to be a full blown PC though, the nVidia Shield can run Plex.

Same. I rarely use it, but it keeps working. Updates are a lot more straightforward than Kodi.

Currently using incursion. Works like a charm. Surprised people still have issues. So many tutorials and easy to follow YouTube videos when updates are needed.

Exodus is dead. No longer getting updates. Check out the Kodi addons forum on reddit.

Matters what setup you have.

If you are using real debris or another paid service not necessarily.
