You going to get all your contacts to switch to your messaging platform of choice? Otherwise you get stuck with the crap. Apple deserves what it gets, although Google isn't any better; they rigged their stuff to not work with the windows phone back in the day.

You realize not all the world even uses SMS/MMS right? WhatsApp is the preferred texting method in most of Europe because SMS/MMS isn’t priced like it is here and a lot of them do not even get it with their phone plans, so they don’t even receive messages in the default apps.

People can and will adapt to other communication methods without government intervention.

No interest in installing that spyware on my phone.

Yup.

Blackberry screwed up BBM. It should have been the WhatsApp but nooooo...... had to be on only BB devices.

What could have been.

You're basically asserting their claim with this quote. I don't see anything in your recap mentioning "poors" or "certain demographics". But, you do realize flagship Androids are as much as Apple flagships, and some Android offerings are substantially more. Apple has been playing to every price point Android does, flagship, mid range and budget for awhile now.

What you are experiencing is a phenomena Freud calls "the narcissism of minor differences". Sorry your mommy held you too much or too little.

Sorry your Mommy let you skip reading comprehension and deductive reasoning in your home schooling...

Try again:

quote:

“Many non-iPhone users also experience social stigma, exclusion, and blame for ‘breaking’ chats where other participants own iPhones,” the lawsuit claimed, adding that the effect is “particularly powerful for certain demographics, like teenagers.”

oh sorry, you meant android is for "poors and teenagers". yeah, its about time someone went after teenagers who are already struggling to navigate the social landscape and find their individuality. Apple, the far left company, appreciates your loyal service in this objective and in the fight against "leftist policies".

I actually find it funny the left is eating their own. Be that as it may, this is clear evidence the current litigation is politically motivated bullshite. Biden is desperate to tout anything he can to his demographics in light of his abysmal poll numbers on the economy.

Those idiots are arguing that poors are pressured to buy iPhones due to social stigma of green bubbles...

Damn did Apple adopt RCS messaging today?

Got a video from my sister (and I'm 95% sure she has an iPhone) and the video was crystal clear.

doubtful, probably more likely they dont have an iphone. i think i have noticed a couple updates come through somewhat recently, but not sure its something android could fix with upscaling? i haven't gotten a video from an iphone in a while as i've pretty well conditioned people over the years that texting them to me is pointless.

I'd say they are more likely to buy iPhones because of FaceTime.

I(android) was able to send a video to my brother(Iphone) last night and it went through crystal clear he said. Problem was it was limited to a 1 second run time so had to be trimmed down

I noticed his messages were coming in weird and remembered hearing about this so something told me to try it. If something can be done about the length of video able to be sent that would be great

Because it's a file size limitation of SMS/MMS. It doesn't need to compress it.

So much easier to just send links in Google Photos.

Could be that too..

So we have a situation where the government is basically saying, if a company makes a product that is more desirable, then we can come in and say certain "demographics" can't afford it, so we are going to take action against you.

This is pure D bullshite. The market is highly competitive and not what Antitrust laws are all about.

you are creating imaginary narratives. no one is saying that. why do you keep trying to push this imaginary narrative that iphones are more expensive and/or harder for "demographics" to obtain than androids? you want so hard to make this a classist and pandering argument. its like you believe everyone wants an iphone and those that dont have one only dont because they cant afford it. if android users wanted iphones, they could easily get them.

the existence of a highly competitive market does not free it from anti-competitive practices.
