Smartphones are a mature product. They aren't really releasing many new features. Better hardware and longer battery life.

OK, those are important things, esp if other phones are cheaper. But still, OP talks like other phones are doing his laundry for him.

Just because you are not poor doesn't mean that you don't make bad financial decisions

I prefer file management in Windows.

I used to go back and forth on this. It’s usually changes with OS updates and then again when incremental update was released bringing some options to revert closer to prior ways.

Lion almost broke me from using Macs, and that was what i used most. They corrected some things in next releases.

I haven’t used the past few Mac OS updates to compare any changes to Windows 10.

I went from Apple to an LG stylo ($225 at the time). I think the new ones are $275. I haven't missed a beat. But yes, the initial jump was hard.

Android is nothing but a Linux flavor with a different skin on it. Linux is one of the most stable, customizable operating systems on the planet. Most cloud platforms run on some flavor of Linux.

Which is exactly what apple is.

Secondly who the fuk goes out and spends 11-1200 on a phone that's just stupid when the technology changes every year and new phones come out. Most companies have some sort of plan or jump plan that will allow you to upgrade yearly and pay off balance of old device and you just pay monthly payments added to your bill. Keeping a phone for 4 years is some serious old man shite

Read the article. Cool. I'll get a:

Huawei 30 Pro
Pixel 3
Galaxy S10
OnePlus 7 Pro
Note 10

so I can have a phone(s) better than the iPhone.

And no mention of the A13 SoC in the article which Qualcomm or Samsung can't even begin to touch.

That's not the default. You have to click a button to get those tiles to pop up.

I went IPhone to Galaxy and ended up going back. I just like the IPhone more.

I've done the jump several times. I get a couple android phones, enjoy the features, tinker around more with them, then I return to iPhone for several years and probably have a better, but less interesting, overall experience. So on and so forth.

Let’s make one thing clear: The iPhone 11 series is not a bad smartphone lineup. Far from it. They are sleek and elegant phones...
I think that's one of the main things that keep Apple junkies coming back. Curb Appeal. Similar to wearing a high-fashion, expensive watch. You're making a statement. "I'm related to Steve Jobs and other smart people. Therefore, I'm smart too."
