Forget what I said.
Germany playing CONCACAF style of soccer.
Already put one guy in a headlock.
Not sure if a CONMEBOL team is up to playing against that aggression.

How did that not earn a yellow at least?

Have always loved German unis. Still have my green one from ‘94

My grandfather kept his German uniform too.
He didn't show it to many people though...

Yeah still have family over there. I’d imagine the same.

Paraguay is trying to keep this boring as hell

He must have been on the 1942 team.

Ref needs to start showing some cards or this match is going to get out of control.
That's the second German penalty that could justifiably warrant a yellow.
A few more that could be considered borderline as well.
They are legit physically assaulting Paraguay

I don't mind it because Almiron is a diving little bitch

Had to be.
He has an Argentina kit from '46.

Paraguay is getting treated like the USMNT playing in Guatemala.

He most definitely is, but Germany is going full thug mode. It’s beyond hard tackles and is full on throwdowns and push offs.

Bring on Woltemade and lob crosses at his noggin all night.

What it says to me is that Germany doesn't have confidence in themselves to beat a team the US put 4 goals on with their skills alone.
They have to use dirty tactics to gain advantage

They resorted to that against us after a bit, too.
This Germany team is not as good as most times, for sure.

It really does go to show you how dynamic our attack was that night of the first match and how dynamic our attack can be when we're playing with confidence. Paraguay's low block is no joke and we broke it down within a matter of minutes.
AND HOLY shite PARAGUAY
