People buy expensive tickets to go watch a baseball team perform choreographed dances to Katy Perry songs.

The experience of being there matters more than the teams involved

No… China needs 1, Australia/NZ needs 1, England/GB/Ireland needs 1. I’m 40. I may or may not live to see another US World Cup

But with that being said, the bigger the tournament, the more chance it’s hosted in the U.S. They’ll want stadiums decked out like we have here and few countries can swing that.

The announcers leaning into the “end of the quarter” at the water breaks is so dumb.

May never happen.

The logistics involved with this setup would be the deal breaker.

A Spain/Portugal one and an Eastern Europe one like Croatia / Hungary / Austria would both be great

And one match in Argentina… and Paraguay.. and Uruguay so FIFA could remove almost the entire world from being able to host in 2034 and give it to Saudi fricking Arabia way too soon after that garbage Qatar World Cup.

I remember teenage S thinking “utter woke nonsense” when they did korea/japan in 2002 but I never thought we’d be doing continental world cups.

It’s brought posters like Jerry over the soccer board.

They just showed some serious Norwegian talent in the stands.

And thank frick for that. It's been that fat Norwegian woman that looks like a fishmonger every shot to this point.

I’ve been to some RANDOM games around the world and let me tell you, until you’ve been there and seen the passion from some of these lesser known teams, it’s best to just not say anything. It’s probably so much fun

I said that about Iran vs New Zealand last week, then it ended up being a good game

The worst thing is the soccer is ghey/sucks crowd and how irate hosting this incredible event makes them.

Ok you dont care for it. Good deal. Why cant you just support our team and be proud of the job we have done putting the event on.

Edited to add: John Strong and Stu. Fox sucks.

The Refs & VAR have been pretty bad. Theres been some obvious and blatant fouls/handballs/etc that the ref either missed, or refused to call, which VAR should have looked at and told them to go look at the monitor. But for whatever reason VAR refused to look at them, or even worse, they did check them and then cleared the infractions.
