Let me preface my opinion by saying I WANT to be wrong here, and will gladly eat my words if I am mistaken.
I think Ghana will absolutely devastate Portugal. We barely escaped that game with a win.
We will be playing prevent D against one of the best scorers in the game (Klose). That didn't work for the last 5 minutes of this game, and it sure as frick won't work for 90 against Germany. I don't care what sport you are watching, 90% of the time if you are playing not to lose, you do lose, and we all know that's going to be the plan from the start on friday.
I think Ghana will absolutely devastate Portugal. We barely escaped that game with a win.

If I was told we'd have four point going into Germany, I would have been thrilled months ago.
While the end blew because we were so close, the result today was fantastic. Especially after giving up the opening goal. Can't lose sight of that.
Even if we lose, we still have a shot. Just hope for a tie at worse. If we can survive the first half tied with Germany, I think we will see a very boring second half.

Everyone needs to relax. People are reacting like we just lost. We just played Portugal and it was obvious that we were the better team. That last goal was gut wrenching, no doubt about that. But it happens in sports, especially with soccer.
And there are so many positives to take from this match, yet everyone is focusing on the handful of negatives.
Yes, we made a early mistake that turned into a goal. But we turned it up and took it to Portugal. And came back frm being down 1-0 and turned it into a 2-1 lead.
Fab Johnson, Dempsey, Jermaine Jones, Besler, and Beckerman have been stellar the entire WC. Beasley played excellent tonight as well. Clint is being Clint and is making huge plays for us when we need them. Hell, Yedlin came on and was key for the goal.
And best of all, we have 4pts right now after 2 games. We are in GREAT shape to advance. Beat or tie Germany, we are in. We can still lose to Germany and still go through because we have the advantage with goal differential over Ghana and Portugal.
Everybody take a deep breathe and relax. Most people expected us to look decent, but we are looking better than decent. We are flat out looking good in the World Cup right now.

It was rather evident in the 2nd half. Choke city then came along.
