This was brutally hard to watch. At least Tim spoke up after they showed Ozil.

The real question is who is Dempsey above? I’d say clearly Walcott.

Nani and Joe Cole are debatable.

Everyone else is definitely better than Dempsey.

"We better hope Jedi turns the clock back to 2024-2025 club form"
where he was one of the best left backs in the EPL.

Richards not starting tonight for Palace. On the bench though.

Poch named Ream as the Captain for the WC, so that basically confirms our fears and means he'll be penciled in as the starter for every game.

Absolutely the right move. You need an older, vocal leader on this team.

Only glimmer of hope is in most of my Football Manager saves when a defender was my captain we conceded less goals.

Wrong. It should be Tyler Adams until he retires.

Agreed, Adams should be the captain.

Ream shouldn’t be starting these games though he can be a great locker room leader.

I wouldn't go that far.

He's still, sadly, our best distributor out of the back by a wide margin so I think that could benefit us in matches where we will have more of the ball like Paraguay and Australia.

I certainly wouldn’t have been mad at an Adams pick.

I’d like to see Richards as the captain. Dude is calm as hell and all business on the pitch. Vocal, too.

Paraguay wants exactly that. Let you have the ball and hit you with a nasty counterattack. Ream getting caught high up the pitch trying to distribute and too slow to get back. Recipe for disaster.

That’s what Tyler Adams is for. He’s a human fire extinguisher.
