Tessman not making it is wild.
The overall lack of midfielders is shocking. Better hope Tyler stays healthy

I wonder if Tessman's injury is worse than reported and he'll need surgery or something in the off-season.

Fully looking forward to Tim Ream channeling Jeff Agoos circa 2002 WC.

By scoring an incredible upper 90 own goal?

Exactly
We beat Portugal playing 10v12

Ream receiving his first cap under Bob, being a part of 4 World Cup cycles, not making his first WC roster until the age of 35 only to later make a second roster has to be the weirdest USMNT player arch of the modern era

Definitely won’t be sitting back and countering at any point.
Hold onto your butts, gentlemen…

Has to be that imo.
I would have called up Musah if Tessman was definitely out.
If your hands are tied with no Cardoso or Tessman, Musah would have been a good player to add.

Literally what are we going to do in midfield? Will one of the defenders or “attacking midfielders” play centrally?

Im thinking 2 holding with a CAM up higher. But if one of our CDMs get hurt were fricked.
Which sucks for Weston because against good teams he probably won't be able to get up on offense as much.
Also, who would've guessed Musah would be an afterthought 4 years ago

Options:
- Tillman/McKennie/Adams.
- Reyna/McKennie/Adams
- Pulisic/McKennie/Adams (my preference)
Roldan and Berhalter subbed for anyone not named Adams. If something happens to Adams, I’d imagine Roldan and McKennie become deeper 8s.

With the amount of attacking mids we took, and the lack of b2b mids, there's no doubt we're going to continue running the 3-4-2-1.
I'm guessing this means McKennie and Adams will be the pivots with Pulisic and one of the other 10's behind Flo.

Anybody guess lineup?
Back three (ream, Richards, McKenzie)
Two back wingers (Dest/jedi)
One deep 6/mid (Adams)
Two attacking wide forwards (Pulisic/Weah)
A 9 in McKennie
A 10 in balogun

It's maddening how he and Reyna regressed over this last cycle. When they got their first call ups as 19 year olds right after the COVID break, they already looked like two of the best players in the pool.

Prob used wrong numbers, but balogun up top with McKinnie attacking central mid.

If it's based on what we've seen this last year...
(Turner or Freese)
Freeman-Richards-Ream
Dest-Mckennie-Adams-Robinson
Pulisic-(Reyna or Tillman)
Balogun
