Is there going to be enough space to utilize that pace if Australia is willing to sit deep and concede 65-70% possession?
Either we play Aaronson to counter press or Zendejas as a somewhat like for like to take people on 1 v 1 and break down their block. Dest will almost certainly be told to go at them as direct as possible.
I say only play Pulisic if we need to.
I agree with others saying Gio is best as a 60 minute sub. Plus who knows what his body can handle these days.

Playing with a strained calf is an invitation to Blown Achilles Land.
I think you have it backwards.
Achilles injuries mask themselves as calf strains until they become a catastrophic injury.
I don't think calf injuries make you more likely to develop a new Achilles injury.

Unfathomably jealous right now. Share pics when you can.

Achilles tears are usually associated with some sort of existing tendinopathy. You’re not likely to do it from straining your calf or getting kicked.

That's awesome
Reminds me of US fans taking over a random burger place in Natal before the Ghana match in 2014 then walking to the stadium together, so fun
Bet it's even better in the US
...and today I'll be watching the USA at the Walk Ons in Houma. How times have changed.

Was it ever confirmed that he was carrying a calf issue before last Friday or he was kicked in the calf (I saw the tackle) and it tightened up on him and we were up 3-0 so we pulled him? He did separate all week to get the bruised calf to heal. Did anyone say or is it all speculation?

Well this made me feel bad.

Pretty nervous today. Not sure we can match our level against Paraguay.

Zlatan is such a dickhead. He thinks that disrespecting Lalas on air is good for him. They just said that Lalas had left the show jokingly, and he said “Who?”

I think Zlatan and Alexi are both just playing into the “feud” as some media folks fall for it and cover it. And it fits Zlatan’s schtick.

He's awful and has absolutely zero personality. I'm not sure who thought he was a good idea.

Australia kicked the shite out of him last game in October. They'll do it again today. Probably the best

Will be really nice to win today and be able to get him to 100% for knockout round

I deal with this same shite. It's so annoying. I didn't get "better" until the physical therapist started to focus on my achilles.

It’s about to be a tough go for the Back to Back World War Champs without the Lebron James of Soccer chat

I've liked him a long time so don't mind him, but he does come off as cringe on these 4 person sets often.
Lalas is the American homer so he is just playing up against that
