U.S. vs 3rd place in either B/E/F/I or J - who do you want?

These are the scenarios I’m seeing.
B - probably Bosnia-Herzegovina or Qatar
E - more than likely Ecuador, but could be Ivory Coast (very unlikely)
F - Japan or Sweden (I’m thinking Sweden)
I - Probably Senegal
J - Jordan or Algeria
Groups I and J have only played 1 match, so I’m just guessing and going by current form. Also, can’t see Senegal placing lower than 3rd or Norway or France falling lower than 2nd.
I don’t want face Ecuador, Japan, Ivory Coast, Sweden or Senegal in my opinion.. But I haven’t really paid attention to the rest. Based on what I read I’m thinking Jordan or Algeria.
What do you guys know that I don’t?

Pure speculation at this point, but I’m not worried about anybody but Japan on your list, esp with the form we’re in, at home.
Japan plays attacking and cohesive, and I think would give us troubles.

I know we beat them in the lead up, but I want no part of Senegal in a round of 32 match.
The last thing we need is to frick up the good vibes by getting a tough opponent and get upset before making it to our usual R16 level.

Yeah, Japan and Holland are both beastly teams in this WC. Either can win it. We don't want that smoke unless it's a semi or the final.

If I’m only picking 1, Qatar
They suck. Then Jordan, then Sweden/Bosnia…
At least Bosnia beat Italy to qualify. Sweden got 0 wins in qualification and only made it to final qualification round from nations league results years ago.
ETA Japan would suck for us but unlikely they finish 3rd. Senegal would be a rough R32 draw as well

So will we not know for sure until after all of the games have played? Thought I read somewhere that we’d play the winner of Bosnia and Qatar? If they draw then we get into the chaos. Is that not true?

We just came so close from avoiding Belgium in R16
I'm rooting for Qatar to upset Bosnia. If not that, for Bosnia to beat Qatar.

This is the scenario I get whenever I play with the simulator.
Just rooting for an outright winner in Bosnia/Qatar. Preferably, Qatar.

Yep definitely my rooting interest. Even if they look awful right now I don't want any part of that Belgium roster early in the knockout.
