We really needed Williamson in the MF. Our guys had zero bite and allowed Canada to be so comfortable, losing all the 50/50s. We needed some fricking fouls and even yellows in the middle part of this match. Bringing Yuell on was ridiculous. Busio was soft and lacking the energy today.
Looked to me like Dike may have broken his clavicle. Regardless, he had no fitness in this match and I feel like Hoppe should’ve subbed in for him not long after half.

Does Venezia have any connections with the US? Interesting that they’ve signed two young Americans
Venezia FC
In September 2015, a group of American investors led by attorney Joe Tacopina moved to acquire the club out of bankruptcy,[29] and re-founded the club as Venezia FC. In the 2015–16 season, Venezia earned promotion from Serie D to Serie C

I don't know bruh. Jason Davis talks about the USL like it's Championship level
He definitely does it to play to the theme of the show
When he talks anything other than MLS/USL he actually knows what he’s talking about

Which one of you frickbois is on Reddit identifying fellow TD talent?
Tried to post that pic here but had trouble getting it uploaded. For a stadium that nice, the signal is trash.
Couple things from ground level:
Was Pines really that bad? I thought he played really physically and killed many chances, he just has awkward body language.
Busio was largely absent, but our midfield not having a true enforcer killed any impact that any of them could have had. Acosta have like 30 mins of effort and then got sloppy and wasn’t physically imposing anymore.
Dike and Zardes can’t play together as two forwards. One or the other.
Shaq Moore needs to get an A squad call-up. Robinson as well.
Hopefully Zimmerman isn’t out an extended amount of time.
The ref was trash, but hey, CONCACAF.
Greg sitting in subs just to make the wrong subs was beyond infuriating. People booed when Yueill came on. Sucks for him, but they were really booing Gregg.
Sands is really fricking good.

Fair. After a while it was hard to tell who had given the ball away since I was ground level.
I think we are in good hands moving to the future at CB. Maybe Pines doesn’t figure into that, but Sands and Robinson seemed to really rise up today.

shite ton is overstating it, but the few he had were disastrous. He did have some good moments defending. Miles was a boss.

Really frustrating game. At least we won.
It felt like we were gonna play Canada off the field for the first 15 minutes or so. Just dominating the game and looking threatening. Canada could barely touch the ball.
Then when Zimmermann got injured everything completely changed. Sands had to drop back and be more conservative and our midfield just got bossed around for the rest of the match. Dike and Zardes had no impact, but I blame that more on the midfield not supporting them.
Canada had nothing to fear in the midfield with our lack of physicality, and they played like it. We were fortunate they didn’t score. Busio is extremely talented, but I don’t see him being a major player for the A squad until he gets faster and stronger. Hopefully he’ll develop that with Venezia.
Sands, Moore, and Robinson had excellent performances, despite the poor performance of the team as a whole. Hopefully Zimmerman and Dike aren’t too banged up.
Sands won’t be in MLS for much longer. I’m surprised he’s stayed under the radar for as long as he has.

I wonder if he ends up being a 6 or more a CB. Passing CB is probably where he ends up, mostly. I’ve never really watched him play but he has definitely impressed me.

I think it's because his positioning and IQ is so high that teams tend to not attack in his area. His highlight videos are boring because his positioning dissuades attackers from even passing to his area.
He also doesn't attempt as many of those long diagonal passes as someone like Miles Robinson.

Agreed
Vines played well. He made a lot of defensive plays that broke up scoring chances.
Zimmermann and Robinson looked really good at CB with Sands playing the CDM role. All three should get a look at the A side. Especially Sands being able to play CB and CDM.
Moore has a great tournament so far.

Kinda nuts the luck Shaq Moore has had in this camp. Dude probably isn't here if not for Arajuo wanting to keep his options open, then he gets a sudden start because of Cannon's knock right before the first group stage.
Now, I'm not sure how you bench until he puts in a bad performance in the tournament and is getting looks by La Liga clubs.

Well Cannon has always kinda been asking for someone to beat him out, he’s never full on claimed the job, especially with Dest able to play either side. I agree that Moore has shown a higher ceiling than Cannon in these games.
