I mean, idk that I would call him terrible because we keep winning. I do wish he would sub sooner though.

I think there is something to be said that we played like arse, but it’s not like Canada outplayed us.

We blitzed them for the first 30 minutes, got the early goal, then bunkered the rest of the way (which was risky and something I don’t agree with, but it worked out).

It’s not like Canada ever really broke our defense down and that was with Pines playing like an idiot.

Sands MOTM for me. Vines, Shaq and Robinson also played well

Busio was completely invisible. Offered nothing. That MF 3 was entirely way too easy for Canada to play through.

Dike and Zardes did not pair well together at all. Was confused also when it looked like on goal kicks we tried to boot it long to Zardes for him to flick on the Dike and not the other way around but whatever

I meant he’s terrible at in game adjustments. He’s done a great job at recruiting dual nationals and seems to have created a good environment for the players, but he just seems in over his head tactically

Yeah, this is what I was talking about when everyone was anointing him as the locked in Adams back-up after his sub appearance against Haiti.

Dude gets lost in matches... a lot.

He's still very young and has a lot of potential, but I'm not sure he's ready to be a real piece in this cycle.

Dike never really doing anything in this match kind of bummed me out.

I agree that the backline played well other than Pines who wouldn’t see the field outside injury. I thought Lletget played well for periods too. I’d like to see Williamson more moving forward.

Greg is a fine coach for building an atmosphere and getting buy in. I don’t see us threatening on a global level with him though. I think he’ll have us in Qatar playing competently, but I’d rather have someone more tactically adept when the A team is older by 2026.

He’s beating the teams we are expected to beat after a terrible start as manager

It’s the bare minimum requirement

We will see how much he grows as a manager the rest of this cycle and at the WC

Jason Davis on United States of Soccer has been foot stomping if there are any questions on if he’s the guy that USSF should not just keep waiting until the WC to find out

Nah, you can't pull the rug from under the players right before qualifying.

For better or for worse, We have to see these next 14 months out with Gregg, unless we pull a Jurgen and lose the first two matches in September.

@TaylorTwellman
Just awaiting final signed docs and player medical. @SportingKC agreed to the following; $10.5m-11m range between transfer and incentives for @gbusio13 with Venezia. Should be finalized by mid-week according to a source close to the player. #SportingKC #MLS

Busio is going to have to learn how to get physical sooner rather than later playing for a relegation-level Serie A squad.

Does Venezia have any connections with the US? Interesting that they’ve signed two young Americans

From what little I've read, they are a newly promoted side that is trying to gain notoriety by going in on the American market.

That’s an interesting strategy. It’s great to see these young guys get a chance to play in Italy, but I could see them struggle to get minutes in what will probably be a relegation battle for Venezia

I think a lot of people will read this as an insult and it’s not, but Busio’ game reminds me a Julian green. Very skilled on the ball but will need to overcome some clear shortcomings in size, speed and strength.

Will be excited to see him push himself in Europe.
