What do y’all think the roster is for Wednesday?

Factoring in conditioning/fatigue, here my guess:

Cowell Vasquez Zendejas
Mihailovic Sands Roldan
Tolkin Long ( ) Robinson Yedlin

So only four guys ran the full 120, right? Jones, Busio, Sands, and Ferreira? Not too hard to work around, except for Sands. Really not another good option at the 6. Vazquez could start and Ferreira off the bench. Yedlin is fresh at one back. Yueill might get some minutes off the bench. Depends how it goes, I guess. Need to win, but also want some guys fresh for Sunday.

Yeah, that looks about right. You’d think they would have factored that in, considering the tight schedule. Would be nice to get a good lead and then go into a 5-4-1 and get the guys up top some rest. We have more depth in the back than up front.

I don't think you see a lot of changes from the XI, maybe Miazga or Long for Neal (or maybe Robinson since he's coming off injury) and Roldan for Gressel, but that may be about it.

I think Ferreira definitely starts.

Had NO idea how young Ferreira was. I honestly thought he was 28-29. He’s 22!?

It’s why I find it so funny that people write him off. I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do in Europe, despite being an FC Dallas fan.

For Panama, I will be surprised if he starts because he looked absolutely gassed at the end.

My thoughts from last night because I know you've all been waiting for them

- Canada was complete arse. Would have been a joke if they had won that game. Created absolutely nothing from open play other than Jew-fro cooking Reynolds a few times late in the game. Speaking of...

- Reynolds - I like his potential and his ability going forward but man he has a lot of work to do defensively. Pretty nervous to start him vs the front 3 of Jamaica

- Jones' delivery on the Vazquez goal was absolute dime. Kid is playing his way right into the backup LB role

- Zendejas and Gressel were awful. Gressel might be the most unathletic winger we've ever started in an "important" game. Zendejas has run out of chances IMO. Hard to judge Jesus at the 9 in this game because his attack partners were so bad

- Neal needs to clean up those loose passes in the back

- Watching Cowell and Jordan Morris playing on the wings together just had me thinking "spiderman meme" the entire time

I live in Cincinnati and was at the game, and it was one of the most intense games I have ever been to. Being an FC Cincinnati fan, when Vazquez scored, the stadium erupted, like it has never before. It’s too bad he botched his PK, but Turner picked up the slack and got us the W.

“Fight” at halftime

Canada has a bad case of the little bro syndrome. Them “winning” WCQ was the worst thing that could happen

Shaffelburg is no joke—Cincy fans will get to see him again Saturday when Nashville SC visits, only he’ll have a much better supporting cast. Hany Mukhtar would have started for either team up top last night.
Glad we got the win but our attack was crap—need either a new front line or better ideas. Not really upset about the two conceded—nothing Turner could do on the deflection or the PK, and he shined in the shootout. Panama will be a tougher test but one we should still pass. Either Jamaica again or Mexico will be a tall order for this group though.

I don’t think it’s fair to lump Ferreira into the attacking woes last night. He had no service from his wingers and Canada had no interest in leaving its extremely low block.

So was it just a bunch of shite talking or is there some bad blood between these players?

We had a relatively similar convo a game or two ago in the World Cup. I feel like if he looked 22, we’d be a lot more patient with him.

Wait the US won last night? I turned it off once that Blonde Canadian goof scored to make it 2-1 in 2nd half of extras.

What did I miss?

Baw… you missed some peak CONCACAF.

Watching the highlights wouldn’t even do it justice, go find a full replay and pick up from the Canada goal that made it 2-1.

So bad officiating, guys flopping around like the snipers were out, fighting, people being called not nice things, fisticuffs, and all without the benefit of being played in a pasture.

Nice!!!

Yeah same. I learned that also during this gold cup. This whole time I was thinking he was 26-27. Has changed the way I view him tbh.
