weird offseason so far. Dont sell anyone and only 2 people coming in on a "rebuild". Want to play up tempo with a high press so resign mata. Obvious players available at cb and cm who want to comeher and that fit what we are looking to do(bruno and maquire) and we dont move early for them. I really dont understand what the front office is thinking

“And they’re gonna walk Beck to get to Parkman. Obviously Taylor’s thinking...I don’t know what the hell he’s thinking!”

United stat of the day
Last season United’s academy produced the most first team mins for any club using its academy grads
Also the United academy had the most mins through out the league for any players on any side
You can guess who was last but they won the league

Why are we waiting for the weekend to try and complete that deal? Maguire's offer explodes Monday. We can't multitask? To allow Spurs to possibly hijack that is disgraceful.
It's clear Dybala wants out of Juve now but I'm not convinced he wants to go to United.
If we can snag either of Bruno or Dybala for the midfield I guess that's good enough for this window. But January better be far more organized.

Woodward and the Glazer's could frick up an orgy in a whore house.

Woodward might move up a couple notches in my book if he can get this Maguire deal and the Dybala/Lukaku swap done today

Looks like deal for maguire is finally done at 80-85mil.

not sure what's funny. needed a CB, got one of the best available. not stressed about what it costs since it doesn't come out of my pocket.
Now the backline is sorted.

I'm always amused when some fan gets a holier than thou attitude about what another team pays for a player. Especially when it happens to be a fan for a team like City. They were a shite, middling little club until the infusion of oil money allowed them to buy success. I've been following long enough to remember them getting relegated in the late 90s. Then, out of nowhere after a few years of mid-level premier league stability, the oil money came and they bought waves of players, spending above the club's income levels to attract world class talent. In the early days of the club's current ownership, they bought so many players on high dollar transfers that failed to pan out. Now, United look to pay above what a City fan thinks we should for a center back (that United needs and can afford), and he can't help but have something to say about it. In context, it's pretty funny really
I have no idea if this transfer will represent good value or not. But no City fan should really feel a right to have a word about it

Calm down, buddy.
If we rewind two or three years, this board was full of United and Liverpool fans running down City for paying high transfer fees. The "amusing" thing about the situation is that it has caught up to both clubs.
Like you said, there is no way to know whether this transfer will represent good value in the long run, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find many people who don't think that fee is astronomically high for the player that Harry Maguire currently is.

Lukaku Dybala swap looking more and more likely. Only thing left is Dybala and United have to agree to terms.

Good thing United can afford it without fake inflated sponsorships.

I’m just happy we bought a center back I couldn’t give a shite about the price honestly.
