Even their more mainstream offerings have made big strides recently. I'm a big fan of their fresh foam and knit uppers. ...

Whoa, I just googled the nutrition info on a 12 oz red bull out of curiosity - one can has 38g of sugar. That's a frick ton. From your post, sounds like that's at least 76g of added sugar a day, maybe over 100g of added sugar if you add the third can. Start there and substitute black coffee or a c...

It’s the best way to see a new city imo. I just went to San Diego for work. I did a long slow run all over that city and took in the sights. I wouldn’t have gotten the same feel any other way. ...

I’m at 668 so far this year. I got on Strava late last year. I’m gonna have to take some time off next week though. Going in on Monday to get the old snip, no one needs any more little PHBs running around. Those treadmill miles should count double brah. Those are hard miles. I hate running ...
First thoughts on the Garmin is that my HR was reading a little lower than Polar. Could just be the aforementioned weather or just getting more fit. I’ll take it.
I love my 235 and definitely don't want to ruin your honeymoon. I've found the optical HR unreliable, occasionally it ...
No one has any beginner marathon/half marathon training program recommendations? Killing me, smalls. I’ve found Higdon stuff online. May as well try his stuff.
Higdon, Daniels, McMillan, and Hanson have some of the more mainstream, reputable plans for longer distances. I'd r...

re: Official Running Log/Marathon Training Thread - PeepleHeppinBidness
Checking in. Ran my first 50k and my first trail race this am. My GPS messed up in the woods and weather, but from others looked to be close to 30.5 miles, 3.5k feet gain. It was more like a slog or swim at times. We were under flash flood warning and it rained all day. Course is rocky anyway...
Good deal, leaning Forerunner 235 at the moment.
I have the 235. I wear it all the time. Meets all of my running needs. Also has some smart watch capabilities. A good all-around watch. I bought mine refurbished on Amazon a long while back. Got it cheaper that way and have...

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. I went ahead and signed up. Now, I've gotta figure out what I've gotten myself into. Should be fun though. If my legs fall off or I get eaten by rabid raccoons, I'm blaming y'all ...

Seeking input from the running thread brain trust: My running buddy is trying to convince me to do a trail 50k with him next weekend. Approx 3k feet of gain. Thinking it would be fun (never run that far before) but am obviously under-trained. Could probably finish but not well. He is in close...

I remember the Kip Litton story from a while a back. Incredible the amount of time and resources the guy expended to cheat and not actually run races. The thing is he was supposedly a fair runner without all the cheating - maybe even ran a sub-3:20 marathon legit. Strange deal. If the guy was br...

Just bought a new pair myself. Right at $100 with free shipping. It doesn’t matter how much we make. We’ve got 2 girls, so it’s not enough. I can always justify running shoes though. Thinking I will finally take the plunge and buy some 4% (or maybe 5%, if available) before Chicago marathon l...
