The rest of the world is catching up quickly to the USWNT

Been casually observing the ongoing women's regional championships this month and it's plain to see our once dominant USWNT is starting to lose ground.
England, Germany and Canada are hammering teams. France looks good as well.
Meanwhile, the US has struggled with Mexico and Costa Rica.

If we folded the women's team nobody would care.
Ever since their bs about the collective bargaining agreement, I quit watching them.
They got their money wtf do they care anymore. It's typical with sports.

I told people for years that once the rest of the world begins to focus on women’s soccer they’d catch up and even pass the US. One thing Europe knows how to do is develop world class players.

I would say that the USWNT is in a transitional stage. But the team from 2012 to 2019 was just about the best it’s ever been.
More successful in a stronger pool than the previous generation
This current group is shifting between the younger stars (Trinity Rodman, Macario, the former Stanford players who went pro) and the players from the 2012-18 generation.
Horan and Lavelle are the few players in their prime, and Alex Morgan is playing better than last year.

Just wait until they start letting dudes play on the womens team. Our World Cup champion uswnt got teabagged by 15 yr old boys.

The quality of play in the euros is vastly better than the concacaf womens tournament from what I’ve watched.
College soccer being the main pipeline for womens footballers is about to be the hinderance
With the euro clubs all in on it.

Its not just the national team either, the domestic leagues in Europe have already blown by whatever we have here.

Other teams are catching up but we also won the last two world cups pretty convincingly.

That match vs England was pretty close
We have also shat the bed in the Olympics which is huge in womens soccer

Gold in 2004, 2008, 2012, bronze in 2021, QFs in 2016
Third, second, first, first in the last 4 World Cups.
The results are very good.
It’s not as dominant as basketball or swimming, but it’s very impressive.

While HEAVILY rotating in the squads and allowing youth players chances that they are capitalizing on.
I think your analysis is wrong bruv.

The next World Cup will be a reality check for the USWNT.

Good. If it weren't for the twisted title ix advantages they get in this country there never would have been a dominance to begin with. Hope they lose every game.

Copa Feminina (South America) has still been a trash fire, from the matches I've watched.
Europe is getting much better AND getting deeper. The women's Euro has been an enjoyable tournament, IMO.

Europe going to dominate next WWC wouldn’t be surprised if all UEFA semis

I was disappointed in hearing heather o’reilly last night. She mentioned the gap in award money from fifa and that that still needed to be sorted out. It’s like, yeah, you need to bring in more money than the mens World Cup. This isn’t a fricking charity.

Possibly. A lot of European girls come to play college soccer here then go on to play for the European clubs.
