It's probably because United has been far more successful during most poster's lifetime... None were probably alive during LFC's earlier dominance...

Fair point. I didn't mean it to sound like LFC is head and shoulders above United. As SCH said they're prob 1A/1B in English football

lol, imagine starting this thread and not knowing that Real is easily #1.

Real is #1 unquestionably

2-4 are Milan, Pool, and Munich in some order.

5 would be between Barcelona, United, and Juventus

Liverpool is objectively not #1 and that is coming from a Liverpool fan.

1-3 has to be Madrid, Barca, and Bayern.

4 and 5 are Liverpool and United but either one could be 4.
