Too much legit quality. This England team wins at least 3-1 imo. A draw would be an upset of the ages.

1-0 yanks. Kane loses his shoe and turns his ankle within the first 15 minutes, and Gio scores in ridiculous fashion. not sure how yet, y’all can fetishize the scenario. the eternal optimist in me says this is where the lobster backs go full retard as they are want to do

The US is not at bad as we think they are. England will have an offense comedown.
Play solid and limit mistakes and counterattack effectively and the US can do fine.
That said, if England scores 2 or more they are definitely winning. Can’t see USA scoring two

The US is better than we think and they’ll play up. England is overrated as typical. It’ll be a good game but 3-2 England.
I expect the game to be pretty up and down. Not a lot of bunkering defense.

I don’t think we have developed an offensive system to crack a decent-good defense. We don’t generate enough pressure or creativity in our attack. We also cant sustain defensive focus for 90+ minutes. I’m going with 3-1 or 3-0. If we have a questionable ref too, we are doomed.

Refs will hate England as much as us, so that’s a wash I think.
I agree our build up is atrocious. I only think we get two goals because England is going to attack hard and the game will be wide open. We’re athletic enough to hurt them.

Are they better than Wales? Again I missed chunks of the game, but from what I saw (mostly 2nd half), our attacks were extremely easy to defend. Moderate crosses, no attempts around the 18, no creative movement/passing in the box, no dangerous shots on goal. Maybe I just missed the better play? I did see the goal highlight and it looked good. We were killing them with possession (70-30), so I thought we were outplaying them based on gamecast stats. What parts I got to watch didn’t look good though.
Maybe it was a case of having a young team and pressure of the moment, but I didn’t see anything that made me think we can improve our offensive performance by Friday, but you know more than me.

Worried if we don’t get an early goal it could be a long day. Have to take advantage of their bigger slower center backs if they play a 4 at the back with Stones/Maguire.

Early goal fricked us against wales imo.
England’s finishing was absurdly good. I think they regress to the mean and we play up to our competition. Aaronson is going to be a pest. Hopefully Gio is healthy and can start. McKennie and Dest being banged up, on yellows, and in poor form really hurts us.

If they play like the second half of the Wales game then 5-0. We are lucky Wales didn’t beat us 3-1.
