MLS vs Premier League

Since it is St Louis City's first season I am now watching MLS for the first time. I have followed and watched Liverpool for about ten years or so but really only watched their matches.
My question is - How bad is the MLS compared to the Premier League?
Would the top team in the MLS be able to finish middle of the pack in the Premier League or would a squad like Everton tear up the MLS?
Through watching three STL City matches the MLS just looks like garbage compared to what I've watched with Liverpool.

Nope.

Yep.
MLS best is top half of Championship…maybe.

Part of it for me is the tv presentation, the announcers, and the sounds from the fans.
Just a completely different experience.
I’m watching the Fulham arsenal game. What mls grounds are like craven cottage? Atl United was a fun team to watch when they came into the league, but they play in an nfl stadium. Idk, just a diff feeling. Can’t quite explain it.

I had that feeling. I just don't know how good the best in the MLS is.
I am just completely dumb when it comes to the MLS. I should have started following a couple years ago when STL City was announced as an expansion team.

Most PL teams come from an organic origin steeped in the local working class identity. So the texture of the game is more localized, whereas MLS teams were planted by the larger market cities. It’s only now MLS is starting to “bless” smaller markets like STL. Case in point, STL deserved a team historically than Chicago, but they were the larger market to begin with, lacking the localized identity. Hence ATL has the feel of being more corporate.

Yeah… I’ve played or watched soccer all my life. Remember the Man U treble in college and love it. To me it’s history…even some teams in lower leagues are 100 years or older… MLS can’t compete with that.
Some MLS teams wouldn’t even beat lower level clubs that move through the FA Cup beating higher clubs. Presentation and USA commitment to soccer is much lighter than in England too. Think of it this way. There are 92 professional soccer teams in a state the size of Alabama. Proximity, travel, and rivalries all play a part in the EPL atmosphere.

I can’t stand the constant fricking drums. It’s like attending a match in Guadalajara

Prem is poor to compare to because even the other top leagues don't compare well to them. The top MLS team wouldn't get relegated in any other league though.

Sounds about right.

Any MLS club gets fleeced with a quickness

There is a still a gap but it is certainly closing. In 5 years the MLS will be on par with the French or Portuguese league. In 10 years I am confident we will be on a par with the Premier League. Especially if the 2026 World Cup goes well.

I think this is very optimistic.

Doctor, I’d like what this gentleman is having, but please increase the dosage by 300 milligrams.

Not a fricking chance
The structure of MLS won’t allow it

? They'd get relegated in all of the top 5 leagues at the very least

How can you talk confidently about something you don't understand

Man, I hate to say it, but the mid-bottom table of the PL is just the Championship teams who survived at least a season., and ironically, don’t usually go back up again (with some weird exceptions like Norwich)

At least? Dude are you really trying to sell me on LAFC getting relegated in leagues even further down like Portugal or Netherlands? I mean there is a lot of Prem pumping here like on reddit that shits on non-English football, but acting like it's a given the top MLS team can't beat 3 yoyo clubs from the other leagues is a bit much.
