Oh that's right, because after being good in the 60s you were mismanaged for decades after.
Thanks for clearing that up.
And City fans now have their own club threatening their country and their livelihoods. Brilliant angle with blackmail and coercion they have decided to take here.

Even they couldn't even stick around in the EPL.
If they couldn't "grow organically" after THAT season and selling Kante/Mahrez, then who can?
Because every season city took one of the European spots through cheating.

If tweet fails to load, click here. what is laughable is MC removing $~120 million from their revenue reporting after 2017/18 campaign and in 2018/19 their total revenue only went down ~15 million. where did the replacement money actually come from?

My club is the best in the world.
We're talking about the EPL and inability to "Grow organically"
If it's possible to grow organically, why have no teams done so in 50 years?
The only 2 to enter the top tier did so with billionaires spending a ton to get over the hump (Chelsea, Man City), which was not "organically"
It seems that it's impossible to "grow organically" to compete with the elite tier

and it should be this plus a list of other things.

I used to get a lot of shite for saying City are the reason why wages and transfers fees exploded in the EPL
Well this proves it, fake sponsorships so they could purchase players over the odds on wages no one else could pay.
Remember they broke the English transfer record the day of the take over…..

Etihad was saying they were not getting extra funding to sponsor City but City saying Etihad was getting extra funds is wild

Wages exploded in the EPL because revenue exploded.
That's why most other leagues can't compete with the EPL and are on the downswing.

City were paying over the odds before these massive Sky contracts……
And didn’t bring in enough revenue to cover this spending

Stfu. It’s become an arms race and you know it. Arsenal was in prime position to sign Morgan Rogers until the Anderson sale fricked the market and AV knew they could demand higher (from Chelsea). Acting as if city had nothing to do with this trend is just hilariously disingenuous and reminds me why people hate lawyers.

City got done in by a phishing email

Honestly the most intriguing detail of this entire case

It's always been an arms race. Hence why the "organically grow" comments have all been proven to be impossible.
The arms race is just exploding with more revenue

You cite an example from a year where no cheating is alleged, in the era of huge revenue, with 2 players of different positions, and a Chelsea club who is just as, if not more, responsible for this "wage inflation" argument as Man City (Chelsea just had the benefit of doing it prior to irrational revenue rules).
It doesn't take a lawyer to see that's a stretch of a point.
Also, Barcelona already did that with Anthony Gordon, months prior to the Elliot Anderson signing.

City voted for these rules.
City is still breaking the rules and you have to be an ignoramus to think otherwise, given their “revenue” growth trend.
None of your arguments are convincing.

EPL is in a tough spot here, they throw the hammer down on City then the spigot of Saudi money dries up.
