Gotta think it is Diaz. Nunez is still young, and his selling value isn't much higher than what we paid for him.
He and Ekitike will battle it out for the 9, IMO. Both will get good minutes. It will be interesting to see how the front line shakes out.

I think it'll be Diaz as well, and let Ekiteke and Nunez battle it out for the 9.
There's still some heat about getting Rodrygo, but that still feels like a pipe dream.
Haven't heard much on the CB position but that is more of my main concern.

I just hope we don't let Konate go on a free.

They need to just do the swap of Konate with Real Madrid for Rodrygo.
I wish we would keep Diaz, but there's been so many reports about him wanting to go to Bayern Munich.

Madrid are also preparing to swoop for Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté. Los Blancos are weighing up a £25m bid in the coming weeks to test Liverpool's resolve. However, the Reds are expected to reject any offer that falls below £40m, even if that means losing him on a free next summer.

I think if the right offer comes it will be both... By most accounts, its Diaz we don't want to lose, but at 28 we're not going to offer him a bumper new deal and he wants a last big pay day...
Slot clearly doesn't rate Nunez (see last season) and I think he'll go for more playing time... at this point we won't get what we paid for him, so its holding out for the best offer..
I think Diaz offers the most flexibility, as he can play out wide and through the middle... but he wants to go..
Chiesa is most probably gone too... shame we never got to see much of him in anything meaningful..

If konate leaves do we need to sign 2 CB's

Sometimes that's not the club's choice... just ask TAA.

We offered konate a new deal. Hopefully we can get him locked up.
Isak has informed Newcastle he would like to explore options. Do we possible have enough to bid for him?
Id say we still need another CB and a Diaz replacement. At CB we are one injury from zero depth.

Gomez is serviceable CB for sure, but you're right. We lose any of our 3 CBs and we are scraping through our youth teams for anything we can find.
I doubt Isak is coming, but at the same time, I can entirely see where we would go through with that and create what has potential to be the most fearsome attack in Europe.
That would make our front line the best since SAS, in my opinion. Absolutely dynamic in all three positions, and with depth too.

Dude, we have potentially the most fearsome attack with the Wirtz, Kerkez, Frimpong, Ekitike adds alone. You add the Premier League’s best striker to that with Mo and Gakpo and Macca…
It would be far and away the most fearsome attack.

Isak is not traveling to Singapore with Newcastle.
The rumor mills are churning of course. Their people are saying he's still nursing his thigh injury. Magpie front office went from "He isn't for sale because we want to compete in the Champions League with Alex at the 9" to "We'll only entertain offers of upwards of $150 million" David Lynch said it best. They've definitely softened their stance over the last week.
Hell I just want a Centerback that can run well enough to also play Rightback if needed.

Arne slot’s greatest achievement is opening the FSG wallet.
There will be sales - Diaz, Nunez, Elliot
Think we still add a CB

somebody posted this on the LFC BHM facebook page and i can get behind this.
to the tune of The Flintstones:
Hu-go!
Ek-i-ti-ke
He’s the perfect modern number nine
From the, town of Reims
For the Reds he’ll make history!

That's fantastic!
I saw that Isak may have told Newcastle he definitely wants to leave... If we sign him, I will not know what to do with myself.

I still cant wrap my head around the signings so far and it’s mind blowing that we’re apparently in talks with Isak’s side.
It would obviously mean that Diaz, Darwin, and Harvey are all gonna be sold right?
Also, still agree that we need more depth at CB, but that attack…my gawd.

I would love Isak but I think CB and backup DM (Slot doesn't trust Endo enough imo) is needed. I see Darwin, Diaz, Elliot, Chiesa, and Tsimikas leaving the club so we will get a lot of funds from these sales to possible hit these needs.

Coming from the Coutino transfer. Keeps paying off year after year.

Isak is coming.
The funds are available because we didn’t spend shite last year. We’ve essentially got two summer windows worth of war chest built up.
Isak and Guehi will be in
Nunez and one of Elliott/Jones will be out. Diaz valuation won’t be met because Bayern and Barca are the interested clubs and they aren’t paying his valuation.
