Well we’ve got a bright future with a lot of very young cb’s led by Jacquet and Leoni, but we still need to sign a PL ready starter if Konate isn’t going to re sign
Nico Schlotterbeck would be a dream signing this summer. Add in Diomande as the Salah replacement and we’d be nearly set for the long term. Would just need a true #6 at that point
Of course it’s not really worth discussing at this moment but there’s a scenario out there where Xabi Alonso is hired as manager and would presumably run a 3 at the back in which case we prob need 2 more ready to play cb. Anyone know what the buy back for Quansah is?

If Konate leaves, I'm guessing Jacquet would be expected to start (Ive never seen him play really.. just clips on YouTube)...
Schlotterbeck would be interesting.. would that means Virgil moves to the RCB? Im hoping Konate reups, cause I think Joe goes...
I'd keep Salah and start Dimonade on the left... he could eventually move over when Salah is gone.. I still believe in Salah... I just think its been a challenge to see how he fits in with this new group of players up top and he hasn't quite figured it out yet... He is used to being the main man..

But when we give him the ball and he has space to be the main man, he does nothing with it more often than not. Teams aren't even sending a 2nd defender at him, which was something that always had to happen before this season.

I noticed that against Bournemouth and Newcastle. A big reason for Salah's high assist #s in the past was he always occupied two defenders which left the defense vulnerable to midfield runners and at the back post.
