Fabrizio Romano and Forbes reporting that Messi is officially leaving PSG. He just got suspended 2 weeks for an unsanctioned trip to Saudi Arabia, so I guess they gave him an offer he couldn't refuse? He currently brings in $3.7 million a month from PSG.

I read where Ronaldo wants out of Saudi after the season so maybe the grass isn't always greener. I don't see Barcelona having the $ to bring him back.

How do Soccer contracts work? Can he just bail?

His contract was up at the end of the season so I'm guessing they can come to some sort of mutual agreement to end it early.

Is this when the Messi to Miami rumors begin again?

They never stopped, but Busquets staying at Barca may have hurt.

The loud whisper since like January was that Messi was never going to return to PSG and that it was down to Miami, Barca and Saudi Arabia.

Barca shouldn't be allowed to sign him or any big name players with their financial bs

Unless he wants to go there and play for free

He clearly went down to Saudi to start negotiations

Probably the last straw for PSG with the Arab dick measuring contest between Qatar and Saudi

MLS can’t compete with the package Saudi is going to offer even if all the MLS teams pay his wages.

Again, PSG was never in the running.

No one can compete with the Saudi's in terms of liquid cash. But MLS could definitely pull some bullshite and give Messi the Beckham sweetheart deal in terms of future ownership stake.

Yea they definitely could

But what city would be attractive to him that’s left in potential expansion

Maybe Vegas that’s it

MLS is tapped out on major markets

Lebatard's show is obviously connected with Inter Miami and they had a really good breakdown today on where everything stands with Messi.

He will sign an insane contract with the Saudis and then be miserable the entire time he is there, much like Ronaldo.

And I’m sure he thought it was fine because PSG has been letting the inmates run the asylum for years. Zlatan held everyone accountable, been a clown show since he left.

If there is anything the past two years have shown us, it’s that Barcelona is more than a club.

I think the real issues will be long-term b/c they've signed away so much future revenue for a good club in the present. I doubt they get their affairs in order and those levers will be more punitive in time b/c of the old levers removing so much revenue from the club.

cannot wait

Agreed. They forfeited significant revenue for 15-20 years to have the 9th best team in the world this year and next.
