Bradley was playing much deeper in the second half

Beckerman isn't nearly athletic enough to play in the formation we started the game in, unless we play narrow as shite like RSL

Jermaine Jones didn't have a perfect first half, but it's certainly not an apples-apples comparison

Either that or Cameron Rb with JAB and besler at cb?

I would be ok with this, I think.

I trust Jermaine in that more defined role, and I think he's been playing well. He misses more passes than Beckerman by a mile, but he is way more athletic.

Our passing today, between Bradley, Clint, Jermaine, etc., was awful. We really need to clean that up. So much of the pressure our defense felt was because of stupid giveaways in midfield.

If it wasn't deliberate, then how can it be a handball if his arm is in a natural position? If you call that a handball, then it HAS to be a red card.

It was a handball regardless and at least a PK

you might need to get recertified

Clint could learn a couple of things about effort from Jozy.

It's so god damned frustrating. We're trying to see what people can do as subs, and he can't be bothered to move his country arse towards the ball. So infuriating.

yes it is absolutely a red card, but they didnt give it because it's a friendly and there were just a couple minutes left.

I like this. The only part that scares me about this would be the need to shuffle people around if we made a substitution.

I hate shuffling defenders. It's just asking to get scored on.

A combo of Cameron and Zusi on the right will be painfully slow though.

Maybe flip-flop Fabian and Chandler for Nigeria to see if the latter is just that much better and more comfortable on the right.

once jones truly fricks up

He was caught out playing the reinforcement striker from cdm a couple of times today. The cdm really needs to stay home in this formation. Turkey didn't capitalize on the chances created by Jones wandering forward but the teams in our group will have a field day if they are allowed to run free in the middle and take on the back 4 uncontested.

I think Fab at RB is all about getting ready for him to mark Ronaldo, but a backline of Fab-JAB-Besler-Cameron would be great.

Now watching the highlights....that Fab goal with the ball from Bradley has to be one of the most beautiful goals in US history. Wow.

Zusi isn't exactly blazing quick, but he's not slow either. Today was strange from him. I would attribute his lack of pace and poor crossing and corners to just having a lackluster game.

RT @OptaJack: 6 - In his 6th start for #USMNT, Timmy Chandler made 6 interceptions, most of any player in #USAvTUR. Route.

Odd stat.

I did notice that Chandler made a few nice interceptions, but he was more than happy to give it right back.

The stat is odd because it is a positive stat about a player who was pretty shitty.
