Well shite got real in that match. If Italy wasn't such an annoying side I might feel bad for them.
Suarez is gone for the tournament.

He gone (for the tournament)

Suarez looked like he was actually trying to eat Ivanovic, not just bite him.
Posted on 6/24/14 at 1:02 pm to NawlinsTiger9
So Suarez is done for the World Cup right?

The fact that he grabbed his teeth afterwards was the funniest part. Dude is completely off the reservation.

Costa wasn't punished for his head butt, so it will be interesting to see what Fifa does here.

Yep. Chiellini's histrionics the entire match probably caused the ref to completely ignore him talking about being bitten. He went down like he was shot in the face at least 4 times in the match.

should be banned for life imo

Yall more familiar may know better, but I could see EPL suspending him as well, right? 3rd time is ridiculous

You really have to be certifiably insane if your go-to fight move is the bite.

Did you ever play? The reason I ask is, the only people who seem to have a problem with the clock have never played. Here's the thing: They are out there trying their asses off to score for 90 minutes. I think many people have this belief where players are gonna be like "OH, shite. 30 seconds left! Better try a little harder!". Americans have these visions of heroic buzzer beaters and hail mary's. Soccer doesn't really work that way.

This. The biting is clearly bad, but Italy is a ridiculously annoying team with their theatrics and attitude.
I feel bad for Pirlo, too bad he couldn't play for someone else.

Bull-shite. Please, as time winds up to the 90th minute for the rest of the tourney, let us know when each match will end, "exactly."
ETA: And I don't care about ending heroics. I just think that the sport should communicate a basic thing like "time left in the game" to their audience.

Yea and no. How many times do you have to slap a guy on the wrist before you just say no more? I think his third time biting someone is just too many...

You don't know "exactly" when a football game will end either.

You think the play is blown dead as the clock hits zero in football?
Posted on 6/24/14 at 1:09 pm to cattus
Dumb question: If a player is set to be suspended for accumulated yellows (e.g., Balotelli) but his team is eliminated, does he have to sit out his team's next international match?
