SEriously, if someone bit me in a soccer match, my first instinct upon getting away would be a very swift fist at the offending face.

Ya I realize that, and IMO that's a problem. Sure they accept it, players accept it etc, doesn't mean we shouldn't discuss if it's stupid or not.
I think time-keeping is such a difficult thing. I don't think refs stop it for throw-ins unless the ball is well out of play (and even then, I'm not sure how long they stop their watch for). However, some throw-ins take longer than free kicks because of pump faking until some defender moves up to take it or just flat out wasting time. The same goes for guys going down. If the ref stopped for every throw-in or time a player was down for 2 seconds, he'd constantly be on his watch. Personally, I think the 4th official should keep time. I think that's a pretty fair way of managing it. I do like the running clock though. It adds that extra bit of suspense not knowing the EXACT moment on the clock when the game will end.

That bite looks BAD.
The human mouth is nasty. He's going to have to get antibiotics and lord knows what else.
Man. I can't believe he did it again.

I would've turned into a fricking germaphobe and ran right to the doctor. That shite is disgusting.

It looks bad, but not as bad as it does in that doctored picture.

I don't think that is doctored. I saw it on TV and you could clearly see the skin is broken.
UCH - I would be freaking out, too.
No telling what kind of rank women Suarez has had that mouth on. I'd be worried about all kinds of stuff.
I just creeped myself out.

You're telling me that picture doesn't look like it's been through a filter or two?

Whether the top one is or not it's beyond question that Suarez's bite broke the skin since there's about 1000 fotos of it from real news sources and you could see it on TV as well.
Since he broke the skin then of course it's going to be red and swollen a few minutes later as well.
Don't see what the point really is about that one specific photo or see much reason to doubt it.

I said that the bite looks bad, but that particular picture has definitely been altered to make it look worse.

The second photo (from Yahoo news) has five distinct teeth marks which all broke the skin. . . that's immediately after it happened so of course it got more red and swollen after a few more minutes. Doesn't really matter anyway as any bite that breaks the skin through a shirt is pretty disgusting.
You can also tell how bad it was from how severly it injured Suarez's teeth
