More like Saban walking into Tiger stadium in 2008 with death threats and public hangings of his body and winning in OT to stay #1

Doesn't compare, UF was given zero chance of winning that game. England was favored.

never mind wrong year.

Huh? LSU was heavily favored. We still had the Zooker.

More like Joe Burrow and Clyde Edwards-Helaire going into Bryant-Denny and giving Bama their first home loss in 5 years, especially with how quick England scored and then how Mexico kept fighting back.

I was at that game and the Fla fans were shell-shocked. Before the game they were all "we love playing LSU. Ya'll are awesome fans" to the most miserable children I ever witnessed. I understand being pissed but they were pouting and not as friendly.

Hopefully LSU gets a win. Gut tells me Ole Miss is going to beat them like a drum. Could get ugly. We will find out. Heck, I am worried about Clemson. Aint no gimme either.

It wasn't just playing on Mexico's home turf, there was a major additional hurdle to be mastered:
the fin elevation: not just mile high, darned near mile and a half high and no time to acclimate to the lack of oxygen. Did you notice that they were breathing hard through their mouths ? All of them.

And then there was the local effort to party loud and long around the English Team's hotel the nights before the game to deprive them of sleep.

If a team from Washington or Oregon were to come to LSU for a first game of the year and get hit with heat and humidity it might be comparable to the altitude problem.
Altitude doesn't trump attitude, though, and LSU had it when it counted.

LSU wasn’t any good that year, Mexico was in the round of 16

Perhaps LSU stuffing #6 Alabama , 20-10 at Legion Field in 1982 to end an 11 game losing streak to them. LSU hadn't won vs them on the road-- or period since 1970.

2004 Florida isn't a bad choice, but LSU had crushed them 36-7 in 2002 in Gainesville.
