@USMNTonly
According to ESPN, Hannover 96 and U.S. U-20 striker Sebastian Soto has been contacted by Chile manager Reinaldo Rueda about playing for La Roja.

Soto is eligible to represent three countries: the U.S., Mexico, and Chile.

Can he beat out super striker Zardes? If not, Chile can have him.

the petty, spiteful person in me has long felt that if an individual chooses to represent a country other than the one he/she was born and raised in, they should have to give up their citizenship...assuming that persons country is interested in them, and has plans to include them in their national side.

i realize the above is ridiculous, but frick you if you choose another country than the one you were raised in.

I’m actually not that worried about Soto tbh. I am concerned about Dest though.

Game v Cuba for the League of Nation, whatever the frick it’s called, cap tie all the kiddos on dual eligibility and get on with it.

US soccer is about to turn into a rats off a sinking ship situation with Gregg in charge and our dual passport holders.

He’s going to be going to ole familiar MLS every chance he gets

I’m afraid you are quite on the money. Why frick about when you got Super Zardes ahead of you? Might as well go to Chile or Holland and be taken seriously.

That's a slipperly slope. France ran into a similar situation when Le Blan was their manager. That's why it's imperative us soccer expand its infrastructure and drastically increase a viable talent pool.

If we miss out on Dest, we deserve everything we miss out on as a nation.

Finally have talent scratching into the top tier abilities range and refuse to lock them down. Ridiculous as all hell.

apply that statement to Soto as well.

if we lose out on these guys for lack of cap ties then we deserve frick all.

this would be a fricking travesty

Chile must be reading the cards on the horizon, they’re in trouble re:qualifying

We're playing fricking Canada in our first Nations League match.

Give Dest the start at either LB or RB and bring on Soto late.

If we don't do that, then frick everything.

And the manager and his team are not doing their due diligence

We should go to war with Chile if this shite happens. Flatten their worthless piece of shite country. Our soccer team is more important than anything they can offer.

That U20 team seemed to be really tight and together at the world cup this summer. I dunno it could be because I was following and watching pretty closely, but I would hope they all want to stick together and win something for us. Weah choosing to go and play is a good indication of that. I think both play for us but with this federation I won't be surprised if they frick it up.
