Either they want to brawl or tire us out then bring them in?

It all comes down to our midfield... If they play like they've been playing, we can win this.

Obviously- guess they feel they are much deeper than us- want to get us tired out before they bring on there best fresh legs. Let’s put them in a hole they can’t dig out of

Guess they're expecting a long close game and they'd rather have them at the end.

They're going to try and kill the game and crowd and game in the first half then grab a couple goals in the second half with their stars.

I don’t think they can press with Lukaku and KDB on at the same time. So they are probably going to press us and see if we can build from the back under pressure. Previous tournaments that’s has worked against us.

Agreed. Those two also don’t have the legs to press for a full 90 anymore.

They want to put the US on the back foot because I don’t think they have the athletes to defend the US in an open, box to box match. De Bryune absolutely cannot run with this US midfield anymore.

US really needs to net one in the first half. Belgium is going to bring them on in the 2nd half and they will be tough to stop.

Raskin can be aggressive but he's not a dirty player. Neither is Lukebakio. This is more minutes management and signalling more defensive tactics to get them through 60 minutes level

Then they throw KDB, Lukaku, Doku, Vanaken on and we hold on to our butts

So they’re going to park the bus and try to steal it late?

Agreed. I think Rudi Garcia prefers a team that can press and try to create turnovers as we play from the back and counter at speed.

Then, of course, still have his attacking threats with lower defensive work rate later in the match.

It's a sign of respect for how we've been playing.

However, it's not as defensive as some are framing it since press and counter with speed --punish fullbacks getting too far into attack etc -- has been his preferred managerial style since Lille 15+ years ago.

yes, I think so.. and they also found some success against Senegal late without those guys in the lineup..

we shall see if it works

Was thinking it’s the same 4-2-3-1 and tactics at Marseille too. You win for going further back in time

We will definitely win the possession battle. Just hope we can create with it

Won’t be parking but Tielemans, Onana and Raskin are more defensive middle men in their usual positions. They are certainly centered to absorb our attack and then they’ll switch for Doku, KDB and Lulu attack
