On the plus side, Jack was left out of the U-21s! Yessssssss

only because he is playing for the senior team. Either way it's good news for Jack and good news for Arsenal fans.

Some French journalist put this Nasri quote up on twitter:
quote:

“Arsene Wenger played a big role in me coming here. I believe in the project. We’ll sit down and talk it through [contract negotiations].”

From an apparent interview with Canal Plus.

Wenger talks about Benzema:

quote:

Benzema, 23, may be available this summer as Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho looks to shake-up his squad to fund a move for Manchester City's Carlos Tevez.

Wenger said: "Viewed from the outside, it doesn't seem impossible today. He's a player that I like.

"I think he's intelligent in his movement, I think he is capable of combining well and making a difference, and of doing individual moves as well. So, for me he's a player who's at the top level in the world."

I'd be fine with Benzema. He could be a good player for us.

I sure hope Nasri re-signs. Signs seem to be pointing in the opposite direction for Clichy though which means we need to make a run at Leighton Baines or another top-level LB. Gibbs just isn't going to cut it. At least at this point in his career.

If Botelho gets a work permit he would be a worthy replacement of Gibbs, by the looks of YoungGuns scouting report of him.

I feel like this thread contains too many awful memories and should be put down like Old Yeller. Of course we shall not forget the loving memory of this thread, but it's time to go into the season with the renewed optimism that I always get whenever Tesco has a full shelf of Cerveza San Miguel or cheap rosé.

I had two ways of looking at it:

1. Your view, that we should wash away the pain with a new thread, and rejuvenate ourselves in the Eden of a blank slate.

2. Wear our scars like a badge of honor, refusing to turn away from our true history and identity.

If you want to start a new thread, have at it. I don't mind seeing this one sink like a stone, per impression #1

I agree. No reason to attention whore like the Scousers.

That is fricking awful. They really ended the trend of extremely solid, clean looking away kits.

I might nab the shorts, no chance on the top. I sometimes dig the non white/red Arsenal gear, as in the Yellow kit from a few years back

Here's some inspiration as we look towards next season. Today is the 22nd anniversary of Michael Thomas' goal to win us the league at Anfield. Brings a tear to my eye.
