Goalie

Szczesny is our #1. I seriously, seriously doubt he buys a top class goalie. Maybe a 3rd string guy. Would have to think Szczesny and Mannone will be our top 2 next year.

Wenger has said he'll strengthen the squad. We'll see what happens.

Could Jagielka be your CB Signing?

Would be an interesting signing. I certainly like him and his versatility, and he would bring experience. Certainly has better positional sense than anyone we have right now at CB. At a minimum he would be an improvement over Squillaci and Koscielny. He's better than Djourou at the moment too, but he and TV5 are both on the shorter side and I kind of like having a bigger guy back there.

Also, is probably a better keeper than Almunia and Lehmann!

I'd rather not go with Jagielka. Djourou has a much higher ceiling, and Phil isn't exactly an elite CB by any means. I'd hope Squid would be offloaded in that case because I don't want to lose Bartley or Miquel.

Obviously my opinion of the move would be based on multiple factors, but as a backup CB, I would not mind. He's solid. He had a bad game or two for England, but if we judged players solely based on how they performed for England than no one would want English players.

I mean seriously, who's played well for England in recent years outside Ashley Cole? They've had nice game-to-game performances here and there (Theo's hat trick comes to mind), but no one has consistently been good for England besides A. Cole.

Did that Spurs draw just lock up at least Champions League Qualifying rounds for Arsenal?

ETA: Well, looking again, I guess it was locked up pretty much already with Spurs low goal differential.
