Well we played well enough to get a result, sucks we didn't at least get a draw.
Gives me a small amount of confidence to finish the season.
Need to get some folks healthy asap

I can’t believe Arsenal are really bottling the league again
Posted on 4/19/26 at 12:28 pm to texastiger38
Welp, Now we can be made fun of with reasoning. Never thought finishing 2nd would ever be this painful.

I think im mentally checking out. 4 consecutive second place finishes, we employ some absolute fricking pussies. Gabriel was getting bitched all game. I’m tired of this shite. Once again the cheaters have zero punishment and get to do whatever the hell they want to win another asterisk title. I don’t care. If we lose to Atletico next week it’s time to sell at least 6 of these players

Gabriel just hasn't been the same since the injury earlier this season.
Only problem is we don't really have a viable 2nd option with Cala on the bench.

This is genuinely a humongously painful loss.
I don't think we can outscore City the rest of the season. They are winning their last 5 games. We weren't even too bad but the space behind Noni and Madueke fricking killed us. This Nico O'Reilly kid is a generational LB. fricking sucks.
We have to get the LW thing sorted this summer. I love Martinelli but this is a wrap for him and Trossard. Devastated man. It sucks because you know City are going to go on a scoring run like no other and won't lose the rest of the way. They are going to win the domestic treble

This loss isn't as bad as Bournemouth. If we'd have played like this vs them we'd have won that win going away.
We played well enough to get a result, just couldn't find the back of the net.
Get everyone healthy and we go again

I’m ok with keeping Martinelli as a backup/CL player next year but yeah Trossard has to go. We need an elite LW (and im afraid possibly a RW as well). I fricking hate that o reilly bitch. Dude looks like a mole rat with a paintbrush haircut. He’s a good player but I fricking hate him. Guess id like him if he played for us.
13 years of supporting this shite club (im sure most of yall have been fans longer) but damn dude im tired. I don’t know what the hell younger me was thinking choosing Arsenal when I could’ve just been a bandwagon and hopped on a successful team at that time. I need a drink.

Idk. You want some pussies look at literally everyone on the team in 2017-18

exactly, i expected to lose this game
i didnt expect to lay a dud in a few games against a few clubs at bottom end of the table
and to think many thought arsenal had an advantage in remaining schedule with 13ish games left

Oddly enough I'm more hopeful now than I was going into the match.
I expected to be throttled. The guys showed some effort with the press, and some attacking drive. There was something with Eze and Ode.
I was worried they had no chance against Atleti, but now think they can actually score goals.
As for the league there are tough fixtures ahead for both clubs. They need to keep the attacking mindset going though, because Goal Differential could be the deciding factor. Need to score multiple goals each match till the end.

Hopefully the players don't give up. All they can do is try and win every game left and hope it's enough.

We are good when we have a healthy 10. Eze was great today. Odegaard was good. I hope we don't sell Nwaneri. We need technical players man. What a fricking shite loss.
We also don't score a ton so I can see the goal difference getting away from us. Imagine a LW like Cherki is for City on the right. We need something different and we need Saka, Calafiori, Odegaard to stop being injured all the fricking time.
What a time to go on a 5 game win streak to end the season and score 30 goals

I'm not even concerned. The damage was done vs Wolves & Bournemouth. City game was always a toss up.
Not taking advantage of them dropping points months ago was the big issue.
Just play like we did today 5 more times and we can win the league. City have to be perfect too

Yep. If we lose the league, which if I was forced to bet big money I’d bet we will—it didn’t come down to this game but all the points we left on the table against teams way down in the standings.
Being both an Arsenal and a Houston Rockets fan has been especially stressful that way this year.

Newcastle always worrys me, since those guys love the extracurricular and put in extra on the tackles when they play Arsenal. The last few matches the guys have been thrown off their game against them.
