The issue is you they couldn't turn it on when PSG got tired
Probaly because arsenal players were more tired than PSGs
there was a stat line late in the second half that arsenal as a group covered 6 more miles than psg
we give bottom of the table teams shite for parking the bus but arsenal did the exact same thing all game…that 22% or whatever of possession is plain sad

More convinced than ever the match was fixed. You expect dirty Qatari businessmen to try to bribe UEFA and officials—that’s what they do there. But the supposedly incorruptible German referee is the one you expect to hold the line. Except he didn’t. The entire second half was a farce, from the corners not given to the yellows handed out like candy to all of the 50/50 calls (including two penalties) going their way. It was a masterclass in subtle match fixing and he and his VAR crony have worked repeatedly with convicted match-fixer Felix Zwayer. Honestly, I would just boycott European football next year until they can get their house in order. But I guess at the end of the day the clubs need their taste of the take too, so it will just continue. Any organization based in Switzerland (FIFA, UEFA, IIHF) is never going to face any real scrutiny and is probably as crooked as hell!

You’ll love the ending

Do you honestly think the Madueke play was a penalty?

Or that the actual pen wasn't a penalty?

Ignoring the trolls (with nothing better to do because their teams aren’t playing today): Gutted to lose this obviously but proud of how they played and proud of what they accomplished this season. They fought hard, Arteta had a fantastic game plan that was well-executed. We always knew this would be an uphill battle given PSG’s talent and our injuries (which forced Mosquera’s starting, although he was generally decent outside of the penalty). It’s tough to play 120+ minutes against a team that plays half the minutes Arsenal does because they can walk the league with their second team. It hurts but damn what a season. If you had told me before it all started that we would win the prem and make it to pens against PSG in a CL final I would have taken that in a heartbeat. Onwards and upwards.
Completely agree with this sentiment.
Next few years should be fun. If we defend the title it will be amazing. Given the state of affairs, I think goals over the next five years would be at least two more PL titles, 2 CL final appearances and 1 CL title finally.

To go completely unbeaten in a tournament like the CL and not walk away with the title is a tough pill to swallow however we have been begging for a season like this for so long. We are finally there and are only looking to not only stay here but get better. Looking forward to the offseason and transfer market. Well done to all at the club and thank you for a great year.

I think it's one of those where if it's called on the field they probably don't overturn it.
I don't have a lot of beef with either pen calls.

Same. I'm more annoyed about shite like Saka getting a fouled called on him maybe 2 minutes prior to the pen doing the exact same thing kvara did

Had to go through a few pages of the LOSERS from other clubs trying to come chirp the PL champions? Look in the mirror you bums and focus on your own pathetic teams that are below us this year in every metric. Want to know why they aren't in their own teams thread? Cause their season ended along with any hope of achieving a trophy.
Game yesterday was fantastic to watch. Our defensive structure was phenomenal. We shut down the best midfield and attack on the planet to only scoring a penalty all game. It was unbelievable to watch us defend with our lives.
Kvara, Dembele, Doeue didn't do frick all the entire game other than a pk. The same front 3 that held EIGHT ON CHELSEA, FOUR ON LIVERPOOL, and SIX ON BAYERN.
Incredible season. PL champs, 2 runner-ups in Cup Finals, and QF finish in the FA Cup. Not the way we wanted to end three of those competitions, but it is what it is. We go again next year!
Parade scenes are ELECTRIC today also. Josh Kroenke having a great time.

Thinking about this season, we were in 2 cup finals and won the PL. You really can’t ask for much more.
The best part all these folks are coming out of the woodwork criticizing and trying to devalue what this team is and accomplished. They are mad and insecure, because outside of City and Liverpool, and to a lesser extent, Man U, are in shambles.
Good days are ahead, and the fact that Josh is so invested has me feeling good about the transfer window.

I don’t disagree however I do think the correct call was made on the field. My issue is that he said he’s convinced the match was fixed because of that. And it certainly can’t be the Arsenal penalty that was clear as day. Arsenal was the PL darlings, and while I do think the ref was slightly more favorable to psg, it certainly wasn’t “fixed”

Admittedly I'm a PSG fan, so downvote if you will, but I think you guys have the best defense on the planet, which is why I'm surprised you guys went into a shell after Kai's early goal.
I think you have enough quality in your back line to absorb our pressure while continuing to have a go at us, but you didn't really do that. Possession and passing stats aren't everything, but the canyon-sized gap in those two areas yesterday says more about what Arsenal was refusing to do than anything PSG was doing.
Of course we have exceptional players, but we really haven't been some marauding juggernaut this season. We won Ligue 1 by fewer points than you won the Premier League by. We lost more games in Ligue 1 than you lost in the Premier League. Hell, Barcola was our top league scorer, and he's not even a regular starter. Point being, we were beatable without defending with your lives.
While I'm obviously thrilled PSG pulled it out yesterday and I disagreed with Arteta's approach to the game, Arsenal have a lot to be proud of and a lot to look forward to with this team.

Agreed on all statements (except for the PSG winning thing). My guess is us scoring within 5 min was not on anyone's bingo card and likely led to how the game went. And to be fair, it worked until it didn't. Would like to see them be more brave in extra time, but you live and you learn.

The game went exactly how we wanted it to go. Would have been nice to sneak another goal in but going to pk's was best case for us however we fell short clearly. Simply more motivation for the future....

I’m sorry but that’s sad coming from a club that finished first in the premier league

The parade was absolutely insane.
Crowd was generally lovely. I have nothing to complain about. Got out of King's Cross station and walked up towards Angel. It was packed by 11am; we were able to catch it on Essex Road, in front of a pub. Beers and toilets were a massive plus!
Truly was a special day. Partied into the evening. Walked back to King's Cross; people everywhere. Singing, dancing, drinking. All races, all genders, all religions. High fiving & smiling. Group of lads helped a disabled girl down the stairs to a platform. Random stranger putting someone else's kid on their shoulders (with consent!) when the kid's dad's back was hurting.
Pubs and shops were busy; staff exhausted but all in good spirits.
I made sure to buy the entire pub staff a round. Hope to be back next year.
