Feel bad he's going to miss the World Cup, what a warrior to push through.

Thinking about this season, we were in 2 cup finals and won the PL. You really can’t ask for much more.

I think Arteta can be better here.

Kepa should t have started the league cup final. Arteta needs to be more ruthless.

And he said Gabriel volunteered to take a penalty. Be the manager, have your set list. And judging by Eze's penalties, he sucks at them too. That's on Arteta. Random fans can find video of Eze doing the same run up and missing penalties, where the frick is our coaching staff?

No matter what happens, Saka needs to fix up next year. He was bad in the final offensively.

After World Cup I don't want to see him on the pitch until September at the earliest

Oh I'm sorry I want the manager to make a big decision like he did with playing Kepa.

I'm serious, Eze has missed doing that stupid run up. Where is the coaching? Him saying Gabriel wanted it makes it worse. I don't remember him taking penalties.

If you are in knockout tournaments you have to be prepared for a shoot out. It's like managers blowing off corners.

Arteta's next step has to be better in some of these big games. We crumbled against PSG in the semi final last season and against city in a final this season. That's the next evolution.

Just some common sense would go a long way. Play your best goal keeper. And don't have Gabriel as your 5th taker. Even Saliba would be better, I've seen him hit a sweet penalty.

And before you get upset again. United knocked us out on pens in the fa cup last season. It's a pattern.

Gabriel has taken penalties before and done well for us. Arteta knows this team. He’s incredibly detail oriented. He wouldn’t have agreed if he wasn’t confident in the approach

He's not even our best cb with the ball. And he has had some dodgy matches passing. I'm just saying what I saw this season.

The guy absolutely put his body on the line. There were so many blocks he made that's just has good as a great GK save. I'm not questioning him as a defender. Just as the deciding penalty taker.

I had no idea about Eze's penalties. But I just figured he was too good to miss. I chalked it up as just a bad penalty. But after seeing videos of him doing this at Palace, It pissed me off. Because this is something that should be fixed or seen by the coaches. This game was too important for what he did.

Holy shite dude, you are such a moron. Thinking any of this matters for taking pens

Players will do whatever the frick they want with pens, this isn't a coaching thing you dunce. Acting like a complete tiger ranter right now thinking you know better than these coaches

We just had an incredible season. Shitting on Arteta for a players PKs of all things is such a sore loser thing to do.

Also acting like he knows more than the coaching staff does is, as I already said, bringing tiger ranter energy to here

That's not how my coaches coached us, to allow us to do whatever the frick we wanted. You are full of shite.

Eze has made 8 penalties but missed 4. That's a poor record.

I know that Eze has missed 4 penalties with the same run up.

It is very rare that coaches go back-to-back in the league. So, without the cups we could go trophyless next season. Congrats on not wanting to win the cups.

Loser mentality.

Again, play your best goalkeeper in the final and find your best penalty takers. I guarantee you Gabriel isn't in your top 5. And Arteta also thinks Raya is our best goal keeper. So me saying that doesn't mean I think I know more than Arteta.

Waiting patiently for some transfer news. I'm still not ever that final. If wishes were fishes, the world would be an ocean right now and so on but good lord if Jurrien Timber had been fully fit for that final or even White man. I think we win. Mosquera was excellent until the ref decided to give him that time wasting yellow then it came off the rails a bit

I have been pretty consistent.

When Gyokeres signed and people said he only scored penalties I watched his penalties. I stated he was a no-nonsense penalty taker and I prefer that. I have never been a fan of stupid run ups. I also said you need good penalty takers to go far in the cups.

I also said we should wait until the end of the season to do our inquest. I wasnt entertaining selling players or changing captains in the middle of the season while leading the premier league and doing well in the champions league.

Its the end of the season now and we lost the CL final on penalties where the opposition goalkeeper didn't make a save. Of course I am going to bitch about penalties.

And I know that barracuda and everyone else here agrees with me. None of you ever sat and thought Gabriel should be our penalty taker because you believe there are better takers on the team. Which means that who takes penalties does matter.

No need to be a prick about it.

Here is some transfer news.

With the world cup I'm sure most deals will be later in the summer. Last summer teams were scrambling to buy some players for the CWC.

quote:

Given last season's £250m spend on new players, a number of player renewals and lucrative bonuses paid to players in lieu of their Premier League success, the club are mindful of ensuring finances are balanced during the close season.

For the forward position, three players are known to be on the shortlist - Villa's Rogers, Bournemouth's Kroupi and Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez.

Rogers and Kroupi are expected to cost in excess of £80m each, while Barcelona target Alvarez is being valued at more than £120m.

Any move for Rogers, Kroupi or Alvarez could be facilitated by exits in forward areas with the club open to offers for Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli while Leandro Trossard's deal expires in 12 months.

The future of academy graduate Ethan Nwaneri, who has returned from a loan spell at Marseille, is also unclear with the club giving serious consideration to a homegrown sale this summer, which would represent pure profit on the balance sheet.

Arsenal are also set to listen to offers for Christian Norgaard and Ben White, while Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson can also leave. Jakub Kiwior has already been sold to Porto for £14.7m.

quote:

The midfield is also complicated.

Given his homegrown status, the club had considered listening to offers for Myles Lewis-Skelly, but his excellent end to the season in his preferred central midfield position has been noted. That could spark a rethink over the 19-year-old's transfer status this summer.

Arsenal have also discussed the merits of a move for West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes, who is expected to leave the London club following their relegation to the Championship.

But, while Fernandes and Lewis-Skelly are different types of midfielders, the latter's emergence may hasten a change in approach.

As for full-backs, the club had targeted a versatile option to boost their squad and have looked at Newcastle's Tino Livramento, although the 23-year-old has endured an injury disrupted campaign. This position will be one to watch.

Also on the agenda for Arsenal this summer is to finalise the finer details of a new contract for right-back Jurrien Timber.

This dude broke some transfer news that was right the other day. Can't remember what it was tho. This shite would break my heart because I genuinely think Calafiori is the best overall player on the team. He's a unicorn. One that is always hurt but a unicorn never the less

If you can make a profit on him, you've got to cut ties. Too unreliable to continue to build around him, IMO
