Arsenal have made an official request to postpone the NLD on Sunday. Let's see what kind of deal we get.

Aubameyang sits out AFCON match due to minor heart issue...he doesn't have any.

Looks like it's been granted.
I don't blame Arsenal for asking, but the fact the League granted a match postponed for 1 covid case is laughable.

Rules are the rules, Xhaka getting that red might have been a blessing for Arsenal
I guess they could have put out 4 or more academy players and got steamrolled by Spurs tomorrow. I don't blame Spurs, the rule is for covid, but now it's opened a loophole for injuries, etc.

I don’t like the rule but the league is the one that opened up this can of worms. So I would expect us to take advantage if everyone else was granted similar postponements. But next season they need to have a hard line rule about when this occurs.

That's the thing, there are literally no rules pertaining to this. The Premier League has admitted that they just look at each request on a case-by-case basis.

I was more so speaking in relation to whatever the token # is, 13 senior players + a keeper or whatever it is. There is definitely zero consistency case by case with the Prem this season.

Looks like Auba was left out again.

Speaking to ESPN, Neveu clarified the situation: “In the readings, it’s clear that Aubameyang has no cardiac problems. He [and Lemina] passed PCR tests and they were negative. “They then did the second lot of exams, cardiac tests, and it seemed as though the pair of them had problems.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been diagnosed with heart lesions after recovering from Covid-19 at the Africa Cup of Nations. The Arsenal forward was ruled out of Gabon’s 1-1 draw against Ghana on Friday. The “cardiac lesions” were found in a check by Confederation of African Football (CAF) medical officials, the Gabonese FA said in a statement. Officials examined Aubameyang after he returned following a positive Covid test. Two of his Gabon teammates, forward Axel Meyé and midfielder Mario Lemina, were both also found to have the same issue.

Now I guess Arteta has an actual excuse to leave him out the squad, rather than just accepting an apology like he will undoubtedly do when it comes to Xhaka.

Auba had to do something really bad. I dont find getting a tatoo as bad as the 11-12 red cards that actually fricks your team in game.

Gabon FA say they have released Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back to Arsenal for medical checks after he was diagnosed with heart lesions following a COVID case.
Arsenal spoke to Gabon doctors last week; he was feeling well and training normally at the time.

Partey coming back to Arsenal early after Ghana were eliminated from AFCON.

Should be good to go Sunday…. Didn’t miss one Premier league game

Marseille have confirmed the permanent signing of Sead Kolasinac until 2023 after the left-back had his Arsenal contract terminated by mutual consent.

I am loving this window so far to be honest.
Getting rid of Balogun on loan.
Terminating the contract of Kolasinac which was much needed.
Partey doesn't miss a single premier league game is also incredible.
Only thing that will make this January better would be a victory tomorrow and on Sunday.

quote:I assume Arteta and Auba's relationship is beyond repair. I wouldn't hate getting his wages off the books, but Arsenal will have to make a splash at striker in the summer if they don't get Vlahovic this window. shite, if they don't get Vlahovic now, they will probably have to sign another striker for depth for the remainder of the season. If Laca & Nketiah are the only options for the rest of the season, top 4 will be difficult to achieve.

Exclusive: Saudi giants Al Nassr make loan offer to Arsenal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with mandatory €8 million purchase clause. Gunners still mulling offer.

ESPN: Suspicious Betting on Arsenal Yellow Card
Yes, bettors like sure things...like Xhaka committing a moronic foul every match. In other news, water is wet.

I'm ALL for this shite. We would save about 20 million off of his wages alone until his contract expires in 2023 and with the mandatory 8 mil, that's nearly 30 million in savings. Get him out ASAP IMO

I agree. If Auba is not going to be producing goals then a business decision needs to be made. I like the guy too, he did well for us while he was here. It is unfortunate we didn't get his best with the current defense we had but its life.
He can go out an Arsenal favorite with an FA Cup and Community Shield as well.
