What is the down side of melo on a 18 month loan?
Posted on 1/27/22 at 6:49 am to JamalSanders
Yea, I don't understand that one.

quote:Agreed. I agree we should have gone after another midfielder in the summer but we couldn’t offload Xhaka and at that point we had more glaring issues like at RB. We also spent more than every other team in the summer window. No one expected this Auba meltdown and it’s going to be very difficult to bring in a forward during this window.
Striker is a huge issue now and in the summer, so they have to make a move. Not sure it was as glaring going into the season.

He's making £125k/ week which seems high but not really criminal.

Arsenal are closing on Matt Turner signing from New England Revolution. Deal in place for summer move, @TaylorTwellman reports and club sources confirm. Fee expected to be around €7m plus €3m add ons. #AFC
Personal terms already agreed. Final details and then done deal.

Calum Chambers to Aston Villa on a permanent deal.

They have to be working in quiet right? I mean we have 4 days left on the window and we have loaned out a few players and sold others with nobody being brought in but a goalie this summer who I am all for by the way.

Who the frick knows what Edu is doing. I've liked the signings from the summer though, so can't complain too much. There was just a lot of dead weight on the roster that needed to be gone, and some that are still around (looking at you, Xhaka).
Chambers was out of contract in the summer, so they are really just getting his wages off the books. This would help the wage bill for any incoming loans/signings.

quote:agreed… but we are going to be down to like 17 outfield players… they have to be buying someone. Their work has been extremely secretive the last year or so.

Oh no doubt, I would quite literally prefer anyone over Eddie tho. 17 players or not.

I saw a post on Twitter the other day that made me less nervous.
We are out of every competition but the Premier League. I think the post had we only have 17 games in 102 days left.
I get that we need to sign a striker and a midfielder, but tbh if Smith-Rowe and Pepe get back into solid form then I still like our team as is.
I would like one other striker though if Eddie leaves, which I would prefer.
Not mad with the players leaving as they really all were dead weight that I did not see as the future of this club.

You are assuming Pepe is out of Arteta's doghouse?
Top 4 aspirations are dwindling fast as no incoming activity is happening this window.

there’s so many names i’m seeing that the club is believed to be in talks now that our in main targets have moved on
one in particular is alexander izak, i really hope they don’t end of signing him especially for the price tag Real Sociedad is throwing around.
it’s good the club is moving on from some bad players but this window didn’t move the needle in terms of the confidence on making champions league
another depthless team to finish the season, good thing only focus for the club is PL

Auba's Arsenal career is over. Headed to Barca on a free.

Jack wilshere and Pepe are our new signings.

Aubameyang leaving is great IMO.
Relying on Laca who is still good and fricking Eddie is where I throw up.
Dear Footballing gods, we pray that you give Pepe the powers and strength of a world class Striker. May you let him get into the team and dominate at CF and score 15 goals. Amen.

But hey we just signed Austin Trusty at CB so I think we’re good to go.
Nice to know Kroenke has resorted to using Arsenal as a way to manage Colorado’s wage bill.

Is Trusty any good or is it a marketing play? I have never heard of him
