Saw them at Red Rocks in the summer of '04. Sparta opened for them. Great show and venue!
Declan's a beautiful girl's name.
Congrats on the baby girl! For as nerve-racking as it is, the NICU is such a special place with literal saints working there.

How do we know their result is correct?
This feels so much like the EV Charging business craze of the early 2020's. Most, if not all, of these companies will be bankrupt in 5-10 years. But if you've made money, congrats and enjoy the ride.
Do not worry about quantum computing. It's not happening anytime soon, and even if it did, there are no real practical uses for it. I believe we're talking 50 years away from us figuring out the benefit of it, and that may only be the ability to simulate a quantum system. The Google announcement, while sounding profoundly major, is nothing. The problem they "solved" is not useful in any way....and there's no way to check to see if they got the correct answer unless you have a 10 septillion years to burn.
Nothing interesting today, but last week…

Yo La Tengo at Chelsea's April 25th. Who's with me?!?
Shame it's the same night as the Hard Quartet in Dallas.

Group 6 here. I wouldn't be surprised if there were still some available to us at these prices. Still undecided whether I'll take them.
Probably my favorite in the collection:

Third for The Grand American. One of my favorite hotels in the country.

A BoJ triggered global deleveraging. Nothing to do with "jobs report, vibes, election uncertainty".

I tried Lending Club for a little while. I think my return was 2-3% over 5 years or so. Waiting for all the loans to mature and cashed out. Sounds a lot more lucrative than it actually is.
We agree on all fronts.
Yep. I didn't really care about the Land Rover affiliation, but really liked the color and movement combo. It's a shame they put that silly spoke over the movement.
Kind of an odd one for today

Check out The Modern art museum there. Great architecture and works there. Easily worth an hour or two of your time.
