“ the current government is in bed with the AI Techbros that are pushing all this bullshite.”(quote jc).

The CCP will develop AI and employ the powers therein. Trump knows that in order to compete economically or militarily we must do so as well. It’s a race in effect.

The linchpin to all of this is CONTROL, of those extraordinary powers and the people who might negatively employ said power as well. That won’t be cake as those who oppose said ‘control’ - for whatever reason- will attempt to undermine and destroy the System.

I simply offer this idea in hope that people smarter than me can offer perspective and solutions to the inevitable confrontations which I suspect are looming. I’ll be off to the next life soon enough and only comment towards the good of the Good who come after I go.

I really believe we are deep into fulfillment of the Eschatological Narrative. And that it will ultimately take our Lord/Savior Jesus Christ to intervene “for the sake of the Elect “ and save us from ourselves. We’ll find out pretty soon, IMO.

There are approximately 113K Flock cameras across the US, including my city of Houston.

I drive through six of them just going to the gym in Katy.

Criminals just swap plates with a similar make and model. The scholars that stole $30k worth of Ford tail light assemblies out of my gated apartment garage stole the plates off of some old lady's Buick in Richmond to avoid camera tracking.

Hiring a "private' 3rd party (with tax $$$) to gather and make available the surveillance data get around the state's warrant requirements..... It seems we fought a war end the state's 'general warrants"

It's really not that hard to just obey the laws while enjoying your day.

Actually, it is. Chances are excellent that you have unknowingly violated a federal statue.

Ever picked up an eagle or even a blue jay feather without getting a federal permit to do so? If so, you broke a federal law that can get you six months in jail and up to a $15,000 fine. Let's say you took the feather and incorporated it into a piece of art you made and sold it. Now it's a felony that can get you up to 2 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Ever caught fish in a National Park and washed them at one of the water spigots that they provide? If it wasn't specifically designated as a fish washing station and was just any old spigot, you broke federal law. That one can also get you six months in jail and a $5,000 fine.

Under US Code 18 U.S.C. §1865 and 36 C.F.R. §7.96(b)(3) it is a separate federal crime to harass a golfer in or around Washington D.C. Another six months in jail and $5,000 fine.

Statute 18 U.S.C. § 336 makes it a federal crime to issue “any note, check, memorandum, token, or other obligation for a less sum than $1” in lieu of money. So if you ever wrote a check for .75 cents in college for something, you broke federal law. Punishable by—you guessed it—up to six months in jail and a $5,000 fine.

Under 40 U.S.C. § 5104(e)(2)(C), an offender can be punished by up to six months in prison for disturbing readers in the US Library of Congress with “offensive personal hygiene.”

And that's just the federal ones.

In Alabama it's against the law to wear a fake mustache in church that causes laughter.

In Arkansas it's illegal to mis-pronounce the name of the state.

In California it's illegal for women to drive a car while wearing a housecoat.

In Colorado it's illegal to keep a couch on your porch.

In Delaware it's illegal to whisper in church, and also to sag your pants (not all of these laws are ancient ones).

Now since you are one of those types who cannot understand limiting the power of the government over citizens, you will probably say, "Well, no one enforces those laws."

Maybe not the state ones, but federal environmental laws get enforced all the time. I got those citations from actual lawyers writing articles on this who know about the statutes because they had to defend clients against them.

We have so many laws in the US that no one knows how many we have. Literally. Estimates hover around the 300,000 mark.

I can just about guarantee you that you have violated at least one of them.

Let 'em come at me then.

Complying with the law isn't that difficult.

If you don't like the laws try to change them.

But whining about just feels better, huh?

Yes, it is.

You can keep saying that, but the facts say otherwise.

The 1st, 4th, 5th, 9nth, and 14th amendments are also law. In fact, they are the supreme law of the land.

If complying with law is so easy, why do you want to violate the privacy and due process legal principles laid down by those amendments?

Why can't you just follow the law?

What's ridiculous about this response is that you don't even see that the REASON that te US is better than every other country is specifically because we protect citizen's rights against government tyranny more than other countries.

Which is exactly what you're arguing to erode.

If law enforcement abuses information gained from cameras, let them be prosecuted.

Personally, I think cameras (by and large) have exposed law breaking scum for what they are.

So we are going to take away your liberty so our job is easier. What I am against is how soft we have become regarding the punishment of crime?

Yes, I own stock in companies that build prisons.
