That's bullshite....I'd bet $1,000,000,000,000 Mrs Rodriguez has never saved for anything. And wouldn't put money in a 401K at 27 no matter the circumstances. She simply wants to live beyond her means.

Sadly that is probably accurate. It is not necessarily a generational or millenial thing though. Most Americans are fricked as far as retirement goes.

My 77 year old grandma and 56 year old mother have frick all saved for retirement.

I am dreading the day those chickens come home to roost when they will be unable to work. Their examples have motivated me to save as much as possible to not be in their shoes when I reach that age.

Sounds like there are plenty of dumbasses at every age.

The millennials who are saving had an average balance of $25,500 and were contributing 7.3% of their paychecks as of the second quarter of 2018, figures from Fidelity showed

Sounds like the world continues to separate itself into the haves and the have-nots. Best prepare yourself to be on the correct side - I know I have.

Sadly they'll drain your savings as a result. The parasite's most valuable asset is the good nature of those around them.

This is what happens when society thinks it’s a good idea to consider accountability a horrible thing.

AfrickingMen brutha. Just yesterday one of the resident libtards said "holding one accountable for their actions" was evidence of conservative knuckle-draggers deciding "they know what is best for everyone"

I honestly think the next step after the abortion debate will be euthanasia. Millennials will start killing their boomer parents to raid their retirement funds.

I’m a millennial, and one of my biggest fears is when I’m approaching retirement age, the majority will vote to seize the assets from 401ks in the form of a “fairness tax” or something because Americans are too dumb to save money.

communications professional

This is the cover term for ‘political activist’. Not sure if this has been noted in the thread yet because I immediately hit ‘reply’ when I saw the term in the op. Used to be ‘journalist’..but there are very few, if any, true journalists left in this country... just political activists that try to pass off bias as fact.
“Communications Professional” from “New York City”... “Rodriguez”

I believe I was drinking beer with these millennial fatalists this past weekend at the KC Nano Brew Fest. It was all you could slam go $40. From what I could tell these beer swilling millennials got their money’s worth. I bet alcohol consumption is up 10-20% since Trump was elected. Lol!

Yea. I try not to think about it. I come from a family of BDMs, or bad decision makers, as SFP says. I am trying to change the family culture but old habits die hard.

Go figure a generation growing up in the calmest and safest of time periods wants to create their own crisis/adversity to "overcome".

So 2019.

you mean the millenials that were in middle school and witnessed the largest terrorist attack on American soil in like ever that then joined the military to protect our country?

kind of a distasteful thing to say on memorial day weekend. Plenty of millenials have also paid the ultimate sacrifice. It is time to stop shitting on an entire generation of people. If you want to shite on individuals fine, but this broad sweeping brush is tiresome.

And BTW the calmest generation were those coming of age in late 70s to 91 when we weren't at war or occupying multiple countries.
