Go watch the video. The start of detainment begins when handcuffed. I think it was for an hour. There are many other documented cases of it being much longer than an hour, some more than 24 hours. I was the one who posted the video earlier in this thread. It is embedded. If you have questions after you watch it, please let me know. By the way, he was detained again later in a similar situation.
I already said, I cannot speak to the legality of handcuffing and detaining a United States citizen, who was not accused of committing a crime.
By accountability, I meant accountability of the ice agents handcuffing and detaining a United States citizen, who was not accused of committing a crime. You may disagree that ICE should not be held accountable for doing that.

You can't expect Good Police Work to be Perfect Police Work.
We want to train our officers to ASPIRE to be Perfect but that's the best we can do.
The American People are going to have the chance to vote Trump and MAGA out of office in the near future. You'll have your chance.
If MAGA is voted out, the USA will return to the USA of Obama and Biden, and, I know that many Republicans in Congress would be comfortable with that.
IMHO, the USA's best chance of survival is for the MAGA Movement to succeed, but, I don't think it will succeed because Americans will be persuaded to vote against it.
