You should visit a homogenous, high trust country at least once

Many people like Japan for this. I also recommend Iceland.

Living somewhere makes all us somewhat numb to our surroundings. Visiting either of the countries above and coming back to the American South (or many other places in the US) is a dramatic, eye-opening experience. Some things that you suspect might be proven true, other beliefs that you find comfort in will probably be proven false (fair warning).

I know it takes money. Think of it as an investment in your education

Japan would be very wise to keep themselves pure and to discourage Western, African and Middle Eastern invasion and/or immigration.

South Korea, too.

You could also just go to a small town in Wisconsin or Minnesota

What homogenous, high trust countries offer anything close to the economic future that America offers?

Japan? Clearly no.

At my age, the only economic future I care about is the taking it slow one.

It is easier to make money in tUSA, but I am about done now. That money goes further somewhere else.

He said visit, not live.

I am guessing he is mostly discussing the psychological relief it must be to live in cultures that take personal responsibility* seriously.

I remember reading stories of passport bros and the issues they had in Eastern Europe in just D2D living (their jobs were WFH so not local to the country)

What a strange, irrelevant melt.

This country is so underrated when it comes to US travel destinations. Almost embarrassingly underrated.

I'll fight them for it. That whole stretch through the River gorge up into Highlands is truly God's country. You'll be hard pressed to find anything as nice anywhere you want to look.
