Trump is an incompetent…he’s only good at populist bombast, which attracted barely enough voters in a few swing states to win an EV majority while losing the pop vote.

This is disappointing. It’s not because Rogan doesn’t like Trump. It’s because he views himself as a gatekeeper…which is the opposite of how I’ve viewed him.

I’ve always thought he’d be willing to listen to opinions he disagreed with, ask tough but fair questions. I think that’s important and I also find it entertaining. It’s why I never had a problem with his opinions I didn’t agree with. I always though he’d respect intellectual honesty.

Unfortunately, Rogan apparently is just a guy that I sometimes agree with.

the fact that he holds these views in 2022 says a lot about him, and maybe even a little about DeSantis as well.

Man, if Desantis offered a criticism of Rogan for being unwilling to talk to the former President and potential Presidential candidate because “he’s not a supporter” he’d immediately put himself on the high ground.

It’s always funny when people take one comment out of a 3 hour episode and melt down over it.

He's definitely a man with a microphone. I don't know that he sees himself as a gatekeeper but he certainly isn't going to lend his microphone to causes he doesn't believe in

He failed at leadership, plain and simple. We need a real leader to move us forward. We don't have 4 more years to waste on an out of touch and ineffective leader such as Trump.

Rogan can’t handle Trump, or at least, the shitstorm that the left would unleash- when Rogan inevitably fails to disagree hard enough with something Trump says.

But he draws the line at former President Donald Trump, whom he called an "existential threat to democracy itself."

"I'm not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form," Rogan told Lex Fridman, a computer scientist, on "The Lex Fridman Podcast" on Monday. "I've had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once. I've said no every time."

He added: "I don't want to help him. I'm not interested in helping him."
Trump is not a threat to democracy, he is too dumb to achieve something like that. Other than that I agree with Rogan.

I voted for him twice. THat is how terrible Hillary and Joe were.

Yeah. Let’s not talk or listen to anyone that doesn’t 100% agree with all of our political opinions. I bet you are a joy to be around.

He has never said he was impartial. He has stated he is left leaning on most things.

Nobody listens to him because they think he is conservative. What idiot suggested that?

He is just fair to guests. He has people from all over the political spectrum. He has great conversations. He is open to new information. He has a kind of infectious curiosity. He is honest.

Just because someone doesn't agree 100% with my political worldview, doesn't mean they have no value. The idea that they do, is the very definition of "living in a bubble".

Conservatives: You stupid libtards fricks only think everyone agrees with you, because the bubble you have created for yourselves

Also Conservatives: I refuse to listen to anyone who doesn't share my worldview 100% because I am based and intelligent!!! MAGA!!!!

Rogan ain't wrong about Trump's incendiary style, it's effect on the left or that another Trump will come along someday.

To give some context, a youtube clip:

The left isn't even trying to field any new candidates, just do as much damage as they possibly can.

DeSantis will win, he seems like the 'chosen one' by the powers that be.

Trump gave us some good years and for that i'll always be grateful. but most americans wasted those good years he gave us and that is the truth.

He is abrasive but not incompetent. Biden is incompetent. I would encourage people ITT to actually watch some of Lex's podcasts. He is better at asking the people higher level questions than Rogan but still is entertaining. I about died laughing when he had Zuckerberg do the prove you aren't a robot picture test at the beginning of his interview

Rogan is an odd dude, and his politics don't seem to have any consistent underlying ideology at all, but his governing principle has always seemed to be "I'll talk to anyone."

That principle fails here. Shame
