Joe Rogan says he refuses to host Trump on his podcast soon after saying Gov. Ron DeSantis would make a good president

Joe Rogan, the world's most-listened-to podcaster, has hosted numerous controversial figures on his show.

But he draws the line at former President Donald Trump, whom he called an "existential threat to democracy itself."

"I'm not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form," Rogan told Lex Fridman, a computer scientist, on "The Lex Fridman Podcast" on Monday. "I've had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once. I've said no every time."

He added: "I don't want to help him. I'm not interested in helping him."

Poor Joe. Maybe he’ll apologize for something soon

I don't think anyone thought he was a Trump fan?

Nah. It is 100% ok to have differing opinions. We won't ever escape this absurd political climate until we stop trying to live in absolutes that simply do not exist.

Yep that was disappointing. Joe’s CIA handler is doing work.

He's clearly afraid. It's ok though. He can have whoever he wants on his show. In what way does he think he would help Trump though? I would trust that Rogan would challenge him on many things. I guess he's afraid Trump would come off looking good?

It's just typical Rogan. For every thing that he says that makes you feel like the light is coming on, he'll turn around and say something that leaves no doubt that he doesn't have a clue.

I would have been no different than this in 2015. Never been a big Rogan fan anyway, but the fact that he holds these views in 2022 says a lot about him, and maybe even a little about DeSantis as well.

Some if us follow his podcast for the content of his guests and are capable of separating that from his politics

Trump doesn't have nearly the support going forward that he did in the last election. His staff was terrible. They (GOP) weren't able to accomplish the most basic campaign promise (repealing Obamacare) and Hilary did not go to jail. Matter of fact, under the Trump DOJ, nobody was held accountable. I know that a lot of this wasn't his fault as he was ambushed at every turn but that only leads one like me to think that he was unable to wrest control and unable to accomplish things that matter. He failed at leadership, plain and simple. We need a real leader to move us forward. We don't have 4 more years to waste on an out of touch and ineffective leader such as Trump.

It would bring massive ratings for Rogan

and why not challenge him? When has Trump ever backed away from the tough questions? It would be a great episode. Challenge on whatever you want.....it would make for a great episode.

Sounds like Rogan is afraid of the blowback

Unless you gave softball questions, you wouldn't be. I agree with some of the other posters, he's afraid of losing that sweet hundred mil.

Whats sad is he had a scumbag like betnie sanders on his show and then suggested he is worth voting for. Thats much worse than not having trump.

If you think that last time they tried to cancel Joe on Spotify was crazy...just imagine if he had Trump on his show. He'd get cancelled off the face of the earth from all the wild and crazy leftist whackos

Nah, Trump just needs to get out of the way and allow someone like DeSantis, that can actually accomplish something, to lead this country.

Some people care more about being Trump cucks than they do about fixing this nation's problems.

Well, I would only challenge you on this point - I assume you weren't a Bernie supporter in 2015/2016. Joe has gone from thinking Bernie would be the best available choice to thinking BDR is the best available choice. Even over a period of 7 years, that's impressive fricking progress (pardon the pun) right there.

He has said multiple times he won’t do trump as he doesn’t believe he can do long form. He also can have his own opinion and still be good to listen to. He has come around in multiple subjects by talking to different types of people (universal based income). The way that he can talk to anybody is a great model on how people should be.

Rogan has also said he thinks trump is winning the next election.

Best thing that happens to this country is when DJT rides off into the sunset and he's no longer a talking point.

After 4 more years obviously.
