I’m a registered Democrat so I’m a communist threat.

- I believe we need programs for those who can’t help themselves because of a disability. I believe a combination of tax dollars and donations are needed to fund those programs.
- I have strong compassion for those with a serious mental illness, many of whom have been abandoned by their family. I’ve seen how the vast, overwhelming majority of these individuals can live in the community with dignity and at a much cheaper cost than the $1,300/day institutions get.
- I believe we must have a strong military. I’m watching the Tom Hanks narrated series on WWII. Without strong leaders and a fully equipped and well trained military we are subject to those who want to kill us and take our freedoms.
- I believe women should have the same rights as men.
- I own guns and if I feel like my life is at danger I’ll shoot and ask questions later. I’ve thought about this a lot because if the time ever comes when I feel like someone is in my home I want to assess the situation but I will have already made up my mind about pulling the trigger if needed.
- I am against abortion except when the life of the mother is at stake.
- I believe we should decriminalize possession of marijuana.
- Hail to the free market system where a business owner can charge what the market will pay. Down with drug companies who grossly over charge us, but I’m thankful for modern pharmaceuticals.Im against any pretty much any nationwide monopoly, but I’ll listen to any argument for monopolies. I am capable of changing my mind.
- I don’t believe a classroom teacher should be addressing religious beliefs with students because that’s what churches and family are for.”Let’s put God back in schools” sounds good but most of you wouldn’t want children hearing my interpretation of scripture and I don’t want just any teacher to inject her interpretation of scripture to school children. That’s why we have multiple denominations to pick from.

I’m a life long registered Democratic so that alone makes me a communist. Nevermind that I voted for the Republican Mayor of my city and have voted for Republican Governors. I abhor what Booby Jindal did to this state with his belief that anything done by government can be done better by private enterprise. We had a vastly superior and robust mental health system in our state before he took office His legacy is closing state psychiatric hospitals and public mental health clinics. He thought private hospitals and private providers would do better. That has proven to be very wrong. Our mental health system is worse off now than before he took office. When you hear of Medicaid fraud look and see how many of those committing fraud are providers as opposed to recipients. There’s a Medicaid fraud hotline. I’ve used it a number of times.

Fire away because I know I’m a marked person simply because I’m a registered Democratic.

Many won’t read all of this. There will be a lot of simplistic name calling. But, like others in our nations history I’ll be shunned simply because I’m not like you.
