A group of student protestors marched across Georgia Southern’s campus and some engaged in a “sit-in” at the swim team’s first meet in response to a text message containing the N-word sent by a team member over the summer.

There are plenty of blatantly racist things that go on in this country that nobody bats an eye over. Telling someone they have a certain "privilege" over others because of their skin color is pretty racist to me.

I'll guess that as long as she stays in the pool, no physical harm will come from the protestors.

I've known some racist and don't think I've ever heard that term used in that way. Seems more likely that a female college student would use the term "trigger" instead of the alternative in this story.

I grew up in the 80s in a 99% white small town in the South. I've heard just about every racist word imaginable and I've never heard that either.
I highly doubt that's an auto correct though.

When I see stories like this I compare them to stories about armed pre-teens in places like Syria just trying to keep various factions from coming in and shooting up what's left of their families and homes, and then I just shake my head as I worry over how overly stressed we've become about lesser issues like this.
