You're just angry at that because you want to be angry.

I am not angry at YOU - I am merely registering my disgust at your thinly disguised attempt at being an honorable lawyer.

But yes - I am righteously angered at what your preferred sypchophants have done to our nation.

For instance - you have never recognized the absolutely honorable admonition of DJTrump when he asked the J6 crowd to "peacefully" march to the capital and "patriotically support" our great representatives who are going to submit solemn challenges to some of the electors. You have silently agreed that he actually 'called for an INSURRECTION!!'

You stayed silent after five years of constant lies and maladministration of justice for the events of that day - a situation that was planned by democrats in order to hustle thru the electors from states that had UNCONSTITUTIONALLY radically modified their election rules to favor the democrat party, and to engage in obviously partisan interpretations - etc - et al - :yak:

WE endured four solid YEARs of an incompetent, if not illegal or totally criminal, administration that has nearly bankrupted the nation, filled our land with tens of millions of illegal aliens who bolster the 'census' numbers to favor the democrats, and absorb billions upon billions of our tax dollars to support their illegal presence - not to mention the additional cost and human suffering caused by the welcoming of abjectly criminal organizations into our communities.

In the circumstance of all orders issued being unequivocally legal, the "reminder" is wholly unnecessary. It's further an implication that some of the orders at issue are questionable and/or illegal, and so it is an incitement to break chain of command, and refuse lawful orders because they are perceived as unlawful per the imploring of Rocket Man et al.

Is it your position that members of the US military should NOT be reminded that they are not obliged to follow an illegal order?

It’s my position that they don’t NEED to be reminded. Particularly by (now) civilians.

I served 8 years, Hank. US Army. Every soldier I ever served with knew that under UCMJ, you were legally and morally REQUIRED to not carry out unlawful orders. It was drilled into us by our own officers/NCOs.

This was a passive/aggressive, unnecessary provocation, using the military as a political pawn.

I THINK that you and NC_Tiger are saying essentially the same thing, and I will reply to your post (rather than his) because yours is significantly more coherent.

Let's agree for the sake of argument that Kelly's tweet was "unnecessary" because recruits are told in boot camp that they are not to follow illegal orders.

Does its "unnecessary" nature render it "seditious?" Is "superflous" now a synonym for "felonious?"

Because that is Trump's argument (even if he initially used the term "treason").

You should probably read up on the meaning of OR

I hope Trump knows that sedition is not a capital offense for civilians. 20 years and or a fine.

They can all be recalled to active duty and court martialed that's how.

There’s no “agreement for the sake of argument”. In the units I served in, review of these matters on an annual basis was SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).

I’m not arguing that it is.

However, their implication is definitely clear. Only the willfully obtuse refuse to see that. And it definitely skirts a line.

Do you seriously need to parse the meaning of this statement? Even Trump knew he had to walk this back, but apparently not his sycophants.

Is seditious behavior not punishable by death?

The term "punishable" implies a trial and conviction take place first, does it not?

Also, I didn't post the PSA, the response to it or the counter response... I have nothing to walk back.

It's LITERALLY the opposite of that.

You erroneously create a definition out of whole cloth to "prove" your point.

See and your emotional state makes you outright lie.

I have always been clear that no insurrection happened on J6.
