My last ice chest purchase was an Igloo made in the great US of A. Not sure if it’ll hold ice for 3 weeks but I’m not solo camping in bear country and don’t need to find out

They just weigh too much for the volume of stuff they hold. Not a good combination. The quality is great but i didn’t know they were democrats. That’s it. No more Yetis for me. Sounds like a Bud Lite moment to me.

Most Yeti products are made overseas with China being the main manufacturer with several other countries getting a piece of the pie.

The only Yeti I have was given to me. Personally I prefer RTIC. Same product (Yeti sued them at one time). Also based in Texas (not Austin).

I'm not sure if there are any equally as good but buying ice a couple of times a week isn't a major expense. It's like a $600 Mont Blanc ink pen. Sure they're better but they're not hundreds of times better.

fwiw i went to an x-mas party at one of the yeti brothers house in austin in 2018. it was one of the most badass houses i've ever seen
