Lol. I voted for Trump.

Just saying that taking a bulldozer to things isn't a good strategy. Sure, cut out the waste, but do it correctly.

Besides, you want to balance the budget, firing all the government workers isn't even a drop of water in the sea. Discretionary spending is only about 20% of the budget, of which a small percentage of the budget is Federal workers salaries.

You have to go after the big 3 expenditures, defense, health care, and social security.

No one needed to confirm this for you. They've been saying this from the beginning.

Yes, the Chief Executive is going to end executive actions by executive decree.

No, that's not overreach. It's the opposite.

I assumed as much with what I was saying. Your pet pork is not sacred. Sorry. Are you going to turn on him if some of it is taken away?

They’ve been far from clear. Calling an advisory committee a “department” is pretty misleading, yes?

If a government worker can’t find a job in two years, he was a shitty employee to begin with.

Offer a 2 year severance as a reduction in force incentive and Trump won't need to fire anybody. It will sort itself out.

they don’t actually care about this is the thing, it’s purely ideological. they think they know more than the experts in 400+ fields.

So, I work in banking in the rural state of South Dakota, so I've had a lot of interaction with the USDA. That's why I stuck up for them.

Do any of you really know the kind of work that department does to make life better in rural areas? Rural water and waste systems, rural business loans, rural housing loans. I'm not even getting into the farm programs.

The loan portfolio the USDA services is massive. Loans that are paid back to the government. Loan guarantees for banks that make loans in rural communities.

I get the bloodthirst that is going on to cut the government, but some of this talk would be catastrophic for rural America.

Gut the Deep State, they're the problem.

the problem is it’s illegal to make personal cuts as political retaliation. that’s why you see them talking about cutting by whether or not your social security number ends in an even or odd number.

It's really nice to be able to ignore users' posts via premium TD features. No more SFP posts.

Not really illegal. Some government agencies do need to take cuts. Others, not so much.

Not much different than a company putting resources to needed divisions and cutting back on underperforming divisions.

right but there are laws that specifically exists so a president can’t just come in and fire his political opponents.

They've been perfectly clear and stated several times that they're working for free and not starting a new agency.

How? Where? Wh .... You ... you put that together on your own? By yourself?

You're a damn genius I tell ya ... with Nostradamus-like suspicions.
A combination of Sherlock Holmes, Einstein, and Kuato.

Amazing ...

... or perhaps not.

Perhaps we should simply cast aside your "suspicions," rote talking points, and just be less "unburdened by the past," aka yesterday's news?
Whatcha think?

Trump said in his statement Tuesday that DOGE “will provide advice and guidance from outside of Government, and will partner with the White House and Office of Management & Budget to drive large scale structural reform.”

Tuesday was not the first time this was pointed out, btw

I’m all for cleaning the waste up but I’m not gonna celebrate a lot of good people losing jobs. Yes. It needs to happen but not gonna sing about it.
