Do you have some other surefire brilliant alternative method to accomplish this

repeal 2 regs for every new one an agency wants to implement.

look to retire agency vets rather than fire a million people as part of your crash the economy trifecta

Just follow the APA properly if you use executive action.

Don't do chest beating aggro shite like Trump admin vol 1 and get embarrassed in court routinely and accomplish nothing.

That's exactly what DOGE sounds like. That's the issue.

Yes.

They're stretching and seem to be trying everything to avoid APA procedures.

i read the oped this morning, it’s been a long day i don’t remember it word for word

generally firing people just to fire them is not only distasteful but when combined with a major tarrif hike and a mass deportation youre guaranteed to frick up the economy, which doge is fully aware of. they say it will be short term and eventually prosperity will result. but what if they’re wrong? if the move fast and break things ideology doesn’t work, what’s the consequence to them? if they agreed to spend their rest of their lives in jail or something in that case then go ahead and give it a shot.

Eh, I read it as though they are exploring every possible alternative.

Of course, I don’t buy the notion that there is only one.

The US Dept of Ag has 100K employees.

Fun fact about Iowa. Iowa has 99 counties. Each county has a USDA Service Center with one county having two, so 100 service centers that have FSA and NRCS offices with some of them having Rural Development staff. The USDA is one of the "conservative" agencies that actually does do work for rural America.

Iowa and it's farmers vote straight Red. Not a good idea to be cutting from them. Same goes for Trump's rural base that came out for him. That sea of red counties across the country.

Abraham Lincoln established the USDA.

Deep cuts for the departments that spy on us and manipulate things, the Deep State. Tear them down. But there are actually some agencies that do work for the people. I'd put the USDA on that list.

Who is doing that?

Getting rid of government waste and shuttering unnecessary government offices and departments is not ideological.

The Chevron ruling demands it.

How many superfluous government employees is acceptable?

I say zero.

They are also talking about very generous severance packages, 18-24 months.

that’s a borderline impossible question to answer and even if it weren’t you’re still going to royally frick up the economy, the severance only delays it.

doge says its short term pain for long term prosperity so again i ask what if they’re wrong? what’s the consequence to them?

this is happening at the same time as the tarrifs and the mass deportations, and you say the left overreaches?
